Uğurteks Chairman of the Board NatanYakuppur made explanations concerning the works of the company and their expectations.Making explanations to TekstilDünyası about the value the exhibition added to Uğurteks, NatanYakuppur said that they had a dynamic and productive exhibition period.Yakkapur mentioned that their booth and new season fabric collections attracted attention during the exhibition and this made them happy.
Yakuppur stated that they established close relationships with their customers at the exhibitions they attended, and he continued: “Premier Vision is an important guide in determining trends. Because we want to get involved in each area of the global market, we go to the significant fabric exhibitions wherever they are organized.In 2013, we are to attend Paris Premier Vision, New York Premier Vision, London Textile Fair veIntertextile Shanghai exhibitions. Crises showed that we should diversify our markets.The fastest way to do this is to reach potential buyers at the exhibitions.” Yakuppur pointed out that Uğurteks stood away from the basic production based on price competition, and he added that each season collections with new themes and trends were prepared with design and R & D works.
NatanYakuppur underlined that Uğurteks cooperated with strong brands in both the domestic market as well as export markets.Yakuppur explained that they worked with significant apparel and retail brands such as İpekyol, Koton, Altınyıldız, Defacto, LCW, Aydınlı, and Abdullah Kiğılı in Turkey and he added that they supplied products for giant brands such as Miroglio, Zara, Benetton, Mango, H&M, Marks&Spencer and Max Mara,Anna Klein, Ann Taylor, ElieTahari, abroad. Yakuppur pointed out that in their facilities equipped with cutting-edge technology in Çerkezköy, interest in the collections consisting of lycra, coated and linen fabrics was constantly increasing.Yakuppur said: “We supply the amount and variety of the fabrics of fiber, yarn, and other raw materials that our customers demand at home and abroad. For this, we have a strong infrastructure and logistics unit. With the happy customer principle, we now watch the entire production process with our quality control automations.”
We Achieve Quality with Experience and Knowlede
Reminding that the company was in Sultanhamam, Istanbul, in 1946 under the name Uğurlu, Yakuppur said: “We put into service Uğurteks A.Ş with thirty (30) thousand square meters in Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone.” Stressing that about 300 people worked within Uğurteks, he explained that they performed approximately 17 million meters of fabric production annually.Yakuppur stated that a vast majority of the machinery at their plants consisted of European brands, and he explained that they had yarn dyeing plant, weaving unit, dyeing and finishing unit: “Within our plant, 60 weaving looms with a production capacity of 50 tons per month and a preparation line and a fabric dyeing and finishing unit with three lines with a capacity of 1.5 million meters are running continuously.In parallel with the recovery in the sector, our capacity utilization rate continuously increases.All the raw fabrics are shipped to the dye house after coming out of the plant and going through raw material quality control processes.Each batch of product processed in the dye house is subject quality controls after each operation. In addition, the fabrics whose processes are completed are checked for the last time at the product quality control points prior to the shipment.”
Yakkapur indicated that they performed environmentally friendly production, and he added: “10 million Euros of our total annual turnover of 40 million Euros is obtained from our exports to USA, Tunisia, Portugal, Spain, Germany, England, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, Russia and Iran.With continuous R & D activities, we head towards other markets provided that we keep these areas. We aim to improve ourselves consistently and increase both our turnover and the points we reach.”
We will Grow by 15 percent in 2013
Yakuppur pointed out that with his sons Alper and İlkerYakuppur, they had been in the textile sector for 5 generations, and he added that he converted the profession which he learned from his father into a big brand and investment today.Yakuppur announced their plans for investment in a spinning mill in the Thrace Region or near Niğde in the upcoming period.Stating that they allocated a significant portion of their budget to R & D Works, Yakuppur concluded by saying: “We continue our production of high quality standards with nearly 100 years of knowledge and experience.
