In the statement made by Barok Tekstil Chairman Gürcan Bakkalcı, it was indicated that as of August, the Turkey representative of SMIT Textile, which is one of the leading brands in the weaving sector and also for the company Castello, had been transferred to the Bursa-based firm, Mondiale Makine Dış Ticaret Ltd.Şti.
Given in the statement issued by Gürcan Bakkalcı, the wordings were quoted as follows; “As Barok Tekstil, after carrying out our operations for approximately 14 years, executing as the Turkey Representative of SMIT Textile, due to my personal retirement request and subsequent to our recommendation regarding a new representative firm for SMIT, we have transferred our position as Turkey Representative to the company Mondiale. Being among the owners of Mondiale and successfully operating in the Turkish weaving sector for many years, Mr.Salim Karaca is also a prominent figure in Europe with respect to this field. I wish him and his team the best and hope that they carry out this endeavour with great success. Should the need arise during this transition period; we will continue to provide additional support to Mondiale and our customers. Due to the fact that via ongoing projects, we will be conducting our meetings and visits together with Mondiale for quite a while, no gap or space will be sensed by our customers. Our technical service crew is still within the structure of Haldun Engineering. In addition, spare part offerings and orders has also started to be provided via Mondiale. Shipments of all registered and valid spare part orders will be carried out without being suspended from Mondiale. Furthermore, the Turkey representation of Castello, which used to take place within the structure of our company, has also been transferred to Mondiale.”
SMIT Textile, being one of the leading companies in the weaving industry and continuing its activities since 1938; offers customized solutions for the production of special technical fabrics with rapier weaving machines and air-jet weaving machines. On the other hand, established in the year 2003, Barok Tekstil Mümessillik, since its foundation, had been executing as the Turkey Representative of SMIT Textile. As for Mondiale Makine Dış Ticaret Ltd.Şti, which was established with the intention to conduct the import and export of second hand textile machinery, engages in the purchases and sales of all machinery and equipment used in the textile sector, particularly weaving, jacquard, sample warping, drawing-in and knotting, as well as the exportation and importation of the above-stated machinery.
