Picanol Proved its Success in “Technical” Weaving

Picanol attracting attention with its activities in the field of technical fabric weaving accelerated its promotion studies afterwards successful sales in 2012. The company has recently met with its Turkish customers at ITM Hightex Texpo Eurasia exhibition and has been satisfied with the interest. The company especially provided information on rapier weaving looms and signed successful business relationships by both improving dialogs with present customers and by establishing new contacts.  The company also made a successful presentation at Techtextil organized in Germany. Thus, the company was able to reach all of its customers both in Europe and Middle East by participating at ITM Texpo Eurasia and Techtextil exhibitions. The wide OptiMax flexible rapier machine was visited by weavers looking for both user friendliness and flexibility and technical textiles investors. The OptiMax positive gripper machine was also introduced at OptiMax platform regarded as Picanol’s success. The machine, which attracts attention with its ease of use structure, enables to add harsh and voluminous technical yarns without problem and at maximum speed. The Ecofill on the edge of OptiMax loom features the zero waste system. Picanol informed that they accelerated the development of this technology due to the intense enquiries of technical weavers.

Picanol Marketing Communications Manager Mr.Erwin Devloo giving information about the exhibition activities and technological developments to Textil Dunyası Publishing Group; “We took part at ITM Texpo Eurasia exhibition after a successful era in order to increase our strength in the Turkish market”, he said. Devloo underlining that they highlighted mostly their rapier weaving machines at ITM Texpo Eurasia exhibition explained that they were very satisfied with the interest shown to their denim weaving and voile weaving machines. Devloo stated that the demands coming from Turkish customers contribute positively to their own developments.

The Turkish Market Appeals to All Segments of the Textile Industry

Erwin Devloo sharing his opinions about the development and demands of the Turkish market; “The Turkish market developing in every field of textile is also among our most important sales fields. Especially in the recent period, our OptiMax rapier machines and OMNIplus Summum airjet machines received great interest in the market. We have strengthened our customer relations mainly in Kayseri, Bursa and Gaziantep,” he said. Devloo continued as follows; “We also follow closely the events organized in Turkey in order to improve our relations with our customers. As last year, we have participated ITM Texpo Eurasia exhibition this year. ITM, which is the most equipped exhibition organized in Turkey, is organized professionally. If I have to say frankly, as we are present in several exhibitions globally, we have been pleased to take part at the most successful edition of the year. We were glad that all our demands were met.  When we compare this edition with the one organized last year, I would like to state that the point reached must be appreciated.”

The Turkish Technical Textiles Industry in too New

Erwin Devloo indicated that the technical textiles segment in Turkey is in the development process and noted that this industry is still at the beginning level. Despite this, Devloo stated that due to Turkey’s strong automotive industry, a progress will be experienced in technical textiles segment and underlined that other examples in the world proves this. Devloo informing that development in this field will strengthen in the forthcoming 10-15 years repeated that due to the supply necessity, technical textiles will develop where the automotive industry is present. Devloo; “Thus, as Picanol, we closely follow technical textiles weavings. The improvement of Turkey in technical textiles will take time but it will definitely be realized. As Picanol we will be ready for it,” he said.

Devloo informing that Picanol closely follows technological developments and offers innovations in with its R&D studies stated that they especially support studies in the fields of Energy, Time, Material, Functionality of the Machine and Market. Devloo urging that being preferred by companies is inevitable as a result of being successful in these fields continued as follows; “All countries operating in the global field continue to prefer these five steps. However, the most important issue is the steps taken in order to reduce energy costs. We continue to create difference in that sense, too. We increase the profitability rate of companies due to less energy use. On the other hand, problem-free use of the machine is among the most important issues contributing to the production process of companies. The fact that all settings of the machine are digital prevents the individual time and quality losses.”

Devloo indicating that the demand for environmental friendly, cost savings and high productive machines continuously increase in the global market noted that Picanol’s weaving machines include new technologies providing energy savings all the time in that sense. Devloo underlined that they are the first company ever to offer machines providing savings in air use and to realize applications like the Sumo main motor.  Devloo stating that they have always been a pioneer; “The energy saving has been the primary issue in our R&D studies. Thus we hold a strong position in all markets including Turkey. Turkey is a market where energy costs are quite high. We create solutions to Turkish textile industrialists with machines offering energy savings. We are quite a step ahead in the Turkish market as we create a difference in this issue,” he said.  Devloo highlighting that energy will always remain an important cost item said that productivity and efficiency is also another important principal actor. Devloo indicated that in addition to energy savings, increasing the efficient use of the machine and reducing the waste of the machine are assessed all together.

We maintain our activities in USA for 50 Years

Devloo giving information about Picanol continuing its commercial activities in America for over 50 years reminded that a new office facility is inaugurated in Greenville. As Devloo informed the center is designed as a base to conduct machinery repair, training studies and sales in addition to supply weaving machinery spare parts and accessories. Devloo ended his words as follows; “The investment decision was taken as a result of the American customers’ demands and the change in weaving technologies.  I believe that this step taken in order provide quick support to customer will meet the demand. Although the focus point of the center in Greenville is Canada and USA, the proximity of South American countries is important for us. We think that these countries will experience a serious growth potential in the forthcoming periods.   In addition, we plan to provide service from this  center in addition to our offices located in Mexico and Brazil.”
