Belgian specialised manufacturer of the weaving machines, Picanol offers numerous advantages to its clients with its weaving machines providing ease of use and high performance. Picanol Marketing Communication Sales Manager Erwin Devloo Kurt Lamkowski answered the questions of our magazine group about the new generation machinery group.
Increase in Demand for Easy-to-Use Machines
Stating that new generation machines are designed in a more user-friendly and environment-sensitive manner in addition to high performance, Devloo Lamkowski emphasized that weaving factories do not wantare reluctant to heavily invest in use and training for machines anymore and thus, demand user-friendly or self-operating machines. Devloo Lamkowski continued his remarks as such: “Weaving factories want to focus on their own markets. They do not want to invest to much in trainings and machinery use. Therefore, modern weaving machines should be easy to install and learn how to operate. Of course, energy and waste saving are also becoming more and more important. In addition to the performance increase of the machine, the products facilitating the use of the machine by an operator as much as possible draw attention. In machines, features that do not require special skills and minimise the human-induced errors come to the fore. Modern electronic instruments allow for close supervision of all functions in the weaving machines and in many cases, enable the machine to make its own adjustments. Besides, features aiming at reducing energy consumption and waste attract attention in the market. Machines need to be modular, flexible and versatile in order to overcome the constantly changing demands of the clients.”
Standing out with its feature of being the only supplier of the market offering both airjet and rapier terry cloth machines, Picanol had introduced its new large-diameter airjet and rapier weaving machines at ITMA 2015. Giving information about the market strategies determined for 2016/2017 by Picanol that introduced its new rapier TerryMax-i and airjet Terryplus Summum machines, both of which were developed for terry cloth, to the sector, Erwin Devloo Kurt Lamkowski said that they, as Picanol, continue their growth and development efforts in every field. Devloo Lamkowski added that, “Our strategy for 2016/2017 will be the same as the previous years. Picanol continues taking its clients into consideration and developing in accordance with market demands and expected trends. Our aim is to make the right machine ready at the right time for all future markets. We should grow together by providing our clients with the opportunity of making profits. As the number of machines we offer deliver to the market increases (also in Turkey), we continue making investment in service.”
