Global fabric production continues to increase with the good news coming from Asia. Despite low production amounts of Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2012, a positive course was followed owing to the increase in the production level of Asia and South America. Considering the whole year, this year saw a decrease in the production capacity in comparison to the previous year. Although fabric production increased in europe throughout 2012, due to regression experienced both in Asia and South America, total fabric production amount reduced. In the global fabric stocks, a decrease was observed in Europe and South America in comparison to the 3rd quarter of 2011 but a slight increase was recorded owing to the high stock levels in Asia and South America. In terms of fabric orders, both Europe and Bresil recorded a negative course in the 3rd quarter of 2012 and throughout 2012 when compared to the relevant periods of 2011.
Fabric production increased in Asia by 4 % and in South America by 2,7 % in the 3rd quarter of 2012, it recorded a total increase of 3 % in line with high stocking plans. Besides, it reduced by 6.5 % in Europe. When compared to 2011, global fabric production receded by 5.1 % in total as a result of decrease of 6.3 % in Asia and 2.5 % in South America. On the other hand, in Europe, an increase of 4.9 % was recorded throughrout the year. In estimations concerning global yarn and fabric productions, a positive movement is expected in Asia, a stable movement is expected in Europe and a negative movement is expected in South America in the 4th quarter of 2012 according to the figures of 3rd quarter. While it is stated that global yarn and fabric production stocks will remain stable in the 1st quarter of 2013; regionally, a regression is anticipated for Europe in yarn production while stability is prescribed for fabric production. In Asia, it is estimated that production level will remain stable. In South America, an increasing tendency will be observed for both yarn and fabric production.
