Özdemir Tekstil, which has been selling original and sub-industry spare parts of Sulzer, İtema and Picanol weaving looms in Denizli, provides its customers with high quality spare parts as well as quick supply advantage.
The executive of Özdemir Tekstil, Ali Rıza Özdemir, who answered the questions of our magazine group about the effects of technological developments on spare parts sector and company activities, shared important information. Stating that they are selling original and sub-industry spare parts, accessories, frames, healds wire, droppers, reeds for the widely used weaving machines like Sulzer, Itema and Picanol, Ali Riza Özdemir said that they offer original used parts as well as original unused parts to the customers.
Özdemir added that they import the original products from Europe and the subindustry products from the Far East, and with regard to the development of weaving technology and the most frequently used products, he said that, “The technology in the weaving machines is progressing fast and they are becoming more durable every day. In all fairs we attend, we observe machines and technologies that are more advanced. Spare parts and accessory technologies are constantly evolving accordingly.”
Stating that they provide services to the customers in Tekirdağ, İstanbul, Bursa, Balıkesir, Düzce, İzmir, Kayseri, Malatya, Kastamonu, Adana, Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş, especially in Denizli, in Turkey, Özdemir said that the general demands of customers for accessories and spare parts are as follows: “While shuttle, shuttle tongs, take, take joints, stroke arms, weft scissors, brake plastic and sensors etc. are in higher demand in Sulzer shuttle weaving looms while such materials as strip, shuttle, gear, soap, sole and electronic card are in higher demand in stripped Sulzer, İtema and Picanol weaving looms.”
“We Always do Our Work In A Serious Spirit”
Ali Rıza Özdemir emphasized that many factors such as speed, quality, efficiency and cost advantage are important for customer satisfaction in the sub-industry parts and spare parts sector and added that all these factors should be in an integrity for customer satisfaction. Saying that, "Today, we can import a product ordered from Europe in one week and a product from the Far East in 10 days", Özdemir continued his speech as follows: “We deliver the spare parts that our customers demand in a very short time, and when we visit our customers or they visit us, they are constantly asking if there are any new parts. We are also eager to renew ourselves and import new parts. In the first years of import from the Far East, unfortunately the market received poor quality and cheap parts. However, we have never been after cheap products. Our clients pay for the parts and they should get money’s worth. Since the satisfaction of our clients reflects on us as new clients, we have always done our job seriously.”
“Quality Parts Are Not Sold At Low Prices”
Mentioning the problems to be created by the demand in the cheap parts in the sector, Özdemir emphasized that the desired efficiency cannot be obtained with cheap parts. Özdemir said that, “I want to address to the factory owners, purchase departments and most importantly craftsmen. Nobody sells the quality products at low prices. There must be reasons for this. Everybody knows it. Cost advantage steps in at this exact point. For instance, it is logical to buy a part of poor quality for 5 TL while its quality equivalent is priced at 10 TL. In the long term, this harms the factory, machine and craftsmen. While a part of high quality can be used for a longer period of time with only one payment in a year, cheaper parts can be changed 3-5 times a year. When a machine runs more efficiently with parts of high quality, our craftsmen do not lose time with the same part all the time.”
Answering our questions about their sales in 2017, Ali Rıza Özdemir stated that, “2017 has been tough for our country due to the coup attempt and terrorist acts in 2016. 2016 ended in a complicated situation especially due to the sharp rise in the Exchange rates in a relatively short period of time. However, we started 2017 hopefully. When we look at the past nine months, we achieved our targets despite challenges. I believe that the rest of the year will be better with relative stability of the Exchange rates.”
Stating that one of their main aims for 2018 is to lean over the parts of the weaving looms newly introduced to the market, Özdemir added that they target the new products for the renewed weaving looms and systems.
