Starlinger donated two circular looms to Gaziantep University. This attempt which was made in order to provide practical study opportunities draws school management’s attention. It is announced that donation which Starlinger that is Austrian textile machine producer made to Naci Topçuoğlu Vocational School of Higher Education is Alpha 6circular loom. Angelika Huemer, CEO of Starlinger who made evaluations about this subject stated that Gaziantep has significant suppliers in the fields of packaging in Gaziantep region. Huemer who emphasized that they have been supplying machinery to Turkey for 30 years actively remarked the importance of training to professionals. Huemer; “I hope that this step which we took in order to support practical training process of young is concluded advantageously.”
Angelika Huemer, CEO of Starlinger who remarked that concern to weaving industry in Gaziantep is increasing in every passing day stated that especially woven bag production besides carpet production developed in this region. Huemer who reminded that production rate of PP fabric and machine-made carpet are high emphasized that 50 % of the total bag production volume of Turkey is made in this region. Huemer; “We have installed 4800 circular looms to Turkish market for last 30 years. Besides that; we also present fast service opportunities to our customers. Starlinger staffs who consist of Turkish engineers continue to respond to problems of producers.” said. The governor of Şahinbey District Mehmet Aydın, Gaziantep University Principal Prof. Dr. Yavuz Coşkun, Head of Naci Topçuoğlu Vocational School Prof. Dr. Cahit Bağcı, the chairman of the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry Council Mustafa Topçuoğlu, the chairman of the PP Fabric and Bag Producers Association Mahmut Köroğlu, and the president of the board of directors of Gülsan Holding Vedat Topçuoğlu and numerous academician and students show an interest in this event which a lot of participants from Starlinger took part in.
