Textile Laboratory of İTÜ Received Accreditation from TÜRKAK

Textile and Apparel Quality Control and Research Laboratory of the Textile Technologies and Design Faculty of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) was accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) for 4 years. 33 methods were accredited by TÜRKAK until 26 May 2019. Among the titles approved, colour fastness experiments and analyses and chemical analyses regarding the structural change of the fabrics stand out.

İTÜ Textile Laboratory is the most comprehensive laboratory being accredited in the textile industry with the status of “Experiment Laboratory” after successfully completing 33 tests in accordance with TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

İTÜ Textile and Apparel Quality Control and Research Laboratory consists of 9 different analysis, test and laboratory units divided by functions: physical analysis, chemical analysis, fastness test, washing test, instrumental test, colour and appearance laboratory and student laboratory.
