Textechno H. Stein GmbH& Co. KG having participated at VDMA’s conferences organized in Istanbul and Gaziantep drew attention to process management and testing process with its presentation “Original Systems in Technical textiles, fiber and yarn testing”. With the presentation made by Erich Ingelsberger, the company’s studies were presented to the audience. At his presentation Ingelsberger dealed with the philosophy of making testing, important fiber parameters (Sample 1: Carbon fiber tests), important yarn parameters (Sample 2: the shrinkage of PVC coated PET weavings) and drapability of multi-axial fabrics.
Ingelsberger providing information about Textecno Company’s institutional structure, that is developing testing instruments, reminded that the company headquartered in Monchengladbach, Germany was founded in 1949 by Herbert Stein. Ingelsberger stating that the company is still a family run business with 45 employees of whom 7 are R&D staff said that they have a worldwide sales network. Ingelsberger expressed that Textechno is represented in Turkey by the exclusive agent Elektro + Servis Company for 25 years and said the followings about the company’s growth strategy in the last era; “Techtechno purchased Lenzing Instruments founded by the Austrian Lenzing AG in 2004. The company continuing its studies under the name of Lenzing Instruments GmbH &Co. KG works on on-line and at-line control systems in the field of fibers, filament yarns, nonwovens and films.”
Fiber Tests Saves Time and Money
Erich Ingelsberger indicated that Textechno realizes mechanical features, thermo-mechanical features, and evenness/unevenness and unevenness errors tests covering all physical parameters and providing total solution for all fiber and yarn types. Ingelsberger informing that they focus on the application of automation and integration at high level; “Genuine fiber and yarns has errors. Tests help to detect the errors of output products at previous stages, protects from problem occurring during production, reduce waste amount, reduce customer complaints, increase productivity and profitability, and renders the most appropriate production for fiber and yarn processing. Briefly, tests reduce costs by providing savings from time and energy,” he said.
Ingelsberger saying that they manufacture smart, integrated, efficient and automated at full level measurement solutions for fibers important features and among these features are linear density, shrinkage, crimp, interlace, and friction on textile and high-tenacity fibres and yarns, fibre fineness, tensile properties, mechanical crimp properties and geometrical crimp structure. Ingelsberger indicated that Favigraph developed by Textechno is an easy and efficient solution for all standard testing application, including both wet and fiber bundle tests. Besides this testing instrument performing tests like linear density, tensile properties and elongation features, Favimat + Airobot 2 instrument can perform automatic testing up to 500 in a single series for each kind of fiber Ingelsberger stated that thanks to automation this instrument, with which carbon nano-tube tests are performed, you save time.
Yarn Parameters Must be observed for Quality
Erich Ingelsberger indicating that there are several important parameters to eliminate errors in yarn listed the features as follows; linear density, tensile features, elongation features, crimp strength, evenness/unevenness, evenness errors, friction features, boiling- shrinkage tensile, hairiness and stitch. Ingelsberger noted that they developed Texturmat ME+, Statimat ME+, Statimat DS, Statimat 4U, Itemat+ TSI, DYNAFİL ME instruments to test the parameters in yarn.
Ingelsberg indicated that they have developed instruments for fabric testing and stated that with Drapetest, composites strengthened with staple fibers and the drapability of multi-axial fibers can be tested. Ingelsberger reminded that Drapetest was awarded with the best innovation/invention award at JEC Asia 2012 and added that Textechno manufactures smart, integrated, efficient and automated at full level test systems for the mechanic and thermo-mechanic tests of fiber, yarn and multi-axial fabrics.
