Mayer&Cie at ITMA with its New Knitting Machines
Leading circular knitting machinery manufacturers of the world, Mayer&Cie will exhibit its latest interlock, striper, single jersey and mattress material machines at ITMA 2015. Minimising needle oil consumption in all machines to be displayed, Mayer&Cie will also introduce the spin-knit machine that can spin and knit at the same time to the visitors. Mayer&Cie which will display five machines in total including the spin-knit machine will highlight increasing efficiency, improved process reliability and quality with its machines.

Mayer&Cie will exhibit a single jersey machine for elastomer plating which uses tested and approved technology and general means a gentle stitch formation for the first time. The machine which reduces needle and shuttle energy consumption thanks to its special design can also be applied to the striper. A member of Relanit family, this machine allows for programming the stripe patterns in a fast and simple manner through a touch-screen with its yarn guide developed for a perfect yarn feeding.

D4-2.2 II

Being one of the machines to be displayed by Mayer&Cie, high-performance D4-2.2 II HP Interlock machine can manufacture up to 400 kg of fabric per day with its 4.4 systems per inch. Beside to D4-2.2 II that can be used in the treatment of fibre yarns like cotton, Mayer&Cie will also introduce its new machine developed for double jersey double face fabrics. The model to be displayed has maximum flexibility for all patterns and has a system of 1.6 per inch.

Spinit systems

Mayer&Cie combines spinning and circular knitting processes with Spinit systems, a spinning and knitting system on a single machine. Ensuring that knitwear is manufactured not from yarn but from spinning mill roving thanks to this machine, Mayer&Cie shortens the production process significantly since ring spinning, cleaning and rewinding are not needed any more. Besides, the use of spin-knit machines that are similar to the conventional knitting machines in terms of size produces less carbon dioxide and waste and saves space and energy. Treating various short fibres and staples, Spinit Systems can use raw materials in pure forms such as 100 % combed cotton or other natural and artificial fibres.

Sustainable Systems

In parallel to the sustainability theme of this year’s ITMA, all machines to be displayed and introduced by Mayer&Cie are equipped with SensoBlueRS, needle oil recycling system. In this way, machines require less needle oil when compared to the knitting machines running with conventional systems consuming 2.5-3 litres of oil per day on a 20-hour working day. The recycling process developed by Mayer&Cie which applied for the patent of this innovation is based on the cleaning and reuse of used oil by the knitting machine in question. Used oil is cleared of contaminants in a filter unit found within the machine and then transmitted to the oil system of the machine. As a result, considerably less fresh needle oil is needed. With the recycling system, oil consumption can be reduced up to 30 % depending on the machine.

Mayer&Cie uses SensoBlue system in order to ensure that needle oil gets to the necessary parts and therefore, right places are oiled and no oil is wasted. This makes the use of machine easier for the knitter.

We look forward to ITMA

Benjamin Mayer, Managing Director of Mayer&Cie, said about the fair that, “ITMA is an outstanding event for all firms in the textile industry. We look forward to present our machines and developments to our clients, potential clients and visitors. And of course, we are also interested in all other innovations, ideas and new features to be displayed in Milan this autumn.”
