Picanol Gives a New Impulse to Rapier Weaving

Offering new solutions in the field of weaving of technical fabrics, Picanol introduced its new rapier technologies with an event. In the event hosting more than 300 sector representatives from 25 countries, Picanol exhibited the new rapier weaving machine Optimax-i to be displayed at ITMA Milano. Besides, rapier Terry Max-i developed for terry fabrics at the rapier format for the first time attracted a great deal of attention.

Low Energy Consumption with Optimax-i

Making an explanation in the meeting, Johan Verstaete, Deputy Director General for Sales, Marketing and Services of Picanol, said, “It was pleasure for us to have recently found the opportunity of introducing our new rapier technology to numerous European clients. Based on the intense interest of our clients towards our new rapier offers, we decided to organize an event before ITMA Milano. With the new Optimax-i, the fastest industrial rapier weaving machine of the world, we set a new criterion in the rapier industry. Thanks to its innovative design, OptiMax-i is the most versatile and user-friendly machine in the market with its lowest energy consumption. The fact that it can be adapted to lots of fabric types makes it more flexible with the ease of meeting the market needs of weavers.”
