One of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of the world in the field of industrial machine needles used in the production and assembly of Textile surfaces, sensitive parts, systems and services, Groz-Beckert brought together the clients and partners with the experts of the sector in the Textile conference held in Albstadt, Germany, where it is based, on 22 September 2016.
In the meeting where 160 leading international firms of the Textile sector took part, Pimsa, Şiteks and Kadifeteks from Turkey were represented at the high level. Offering significant data and analyses in terms of yarn and Textile production, the meeting provided the participants with a broad perspective. With the “Fabric Year” presentation, information provided by numerous experts attracted the interest of the participants.
Innovations in the Nonwoven Sector Were Explained
Following the keynote speech of Eric Schöller, Member of the Governing Board of Groz-Beckert KG, Andreas Engelhardt took the floor and presented the study titled “Fabric Year” which constituted the main agenda of the conference. Afterwards, Dr. Karl-Michael Schumann from Contarix GmbH, made a presentation on the new products in the nonwoven industry. Jan Kettmann from Schlegel und Partner GmbH drew the attention of the participants to different textile applications in automobiles.
In the afternoon sessions, Omar Cividini from Brembo SpA made a presentation titled textile in automobile industry. Dr. Monica Segata from Italcementi SpA made a presentation on the textiles used in the field of construction which is an innovative textile application field. Lastly, Andreas Engelhardt and Martin Weiler shared the results of market research conducted by Groz-Beckert with the visitors on the basis of such data as total machine number in the industry and fibre production amounts. The organisation came to an end with the dinner which allowed the participants and sector representatives met.
