Monforts, one of the global manufacturers of the textile finishing sector, opened its “New Technological Centre” in its centre located on an area covering 1500 m2 in Mönchengladbach, Germany, to serve its technical textile clients. Centre will allow its customers to conduct researches on dyeing and finishing machines in confidentiality and under real production conditions.
New ATC allows its technical textile clients to conduct tests with woven, knitted and nonwoven fabrics under operating conditions, where it is possible to carry out dyeing and finishing studies, in order to improve the working conditions of technical textile clients. With the results obtained from these studies, it will be possible for Monforts to give recommendations for improvement of fabric surfaces.
With steam generator, fabric laboratory and test equipment, new ATC constitutes an investment of 2.5 million Euros. Furthermore, Monforts provides its clients with full economic and ecological support in relation to dyeing and finishing processes. Trainings are also provided for machinery operators in order to save energy and operate machines in the use of dyestuff.
New Opportunities with Monforts ECO Applicator
According to Peter Tolksdorf, the Head of Department of Technology of Monforts, Monforts continues to find new applications for ECO Applicator in order to create a wide range of textile manufacturers’ products, finishing chemicals and applications. Owing to this new technology offered by Eco Applicator, manufacturers will be able to process both sides of the fabric no matter which stage of the production takes place. For instance, fabrics whose one side is water-proof while the other side can absorb the moisture will be manufactured. The obtained products will be popular in sportswear.
It is possible to extend the opportunities to be provided by Monforts Eco Applicator. Thanks to Eco Applicator’s feature of processing only one side of the material when needed, it will be possible to process the material with previously coated surface. This application succeeded in denim sector in such processes as single-sided dyeing, ensuring water and oil resistance only in one side or giving softness to the product. It also ensures energy saving by doubling the flow capacity of dyeing, finishing and drying processes.
