Andritz Group, which has attained an effective position in the nonwoven sector with its brand Perfojet and Küsters, annunced its sales figures of 2011. The group that has reached a record growth rate, performed sales in every field it operates in. The company performing sales across the world with the two nonwoven brands it owns, has 2,400 calendering machine and 160 complete producction line all over the world.
The group that is engaged in many fields in addition to nonwoven production, offers services to the hydroelectric power stations with ANDRITZ HYDRO, to pulp and paper industry with ANDRITZ PULP & PAPER, in seperation of solid and liquid wates with ANDRITZ SEPARATION, to the steel industry with ANDRITZ METALS and to the production of animal feed and bio-fuel with ANDRITZ FEED & BIOFUEL. Andritz, which has more than 180 production plant over the world, employs 16,750 people. According the annual report of the the group that has achieved a successful graph in the segments it operates, the sales has reached 4,596 billion Euros.
The most important reason of the increase observed in the sales is the development that took place in the paper industry. As a result of the activities carried out in this field, the sales amounted to EUR 1,855.9 billion with an increase of 67,9 percent compared to 2010. The amount of the orders received by the group, which has also achieved an increase in the sales in the fields of hydro, separation segments and the metal industry, has reached 5,706.9 billion Euros with an increase of 38,1 percent compared to the previous year. In 2011, the amount of the pending orders has reached 6,583.1 billion Euros with an increase of 26 percent.
Except for the small equity shares, the net profit of Andritz Group, which has experienced a more successful year compared to the previous one, amounted to 230,7 million Euros. In the general meeting, Andritz, which also experiences an increase in its own resources, decided to increase the dividend rates per share from 1,70 Euros to 2,20 Euros.
Wolfgang Leitner, President and CEO of Andritz Group, made statements about his business expectations from the new year. Leitner stated that despite the uncertain economic conditions, they will always carry out sound projects in the fields they provide service in. Leitner added that they will broaded their activity area in 2012.
