Today the Stäubli Group, focusing on solutions directed at specific demand on the market, has 2’100 granted or pending patent, being the result of intensive and continued R&D. Legler emphasized on the skilled workforce of Turkey and said, ‘’ Turkey plays an important role in many fields’.’

Q:Can you provide some information on the establishment and field of activities?

A:The Stäubli Group is active in three fields of activity: Connectors, Robotics, and Textile. Latest figures show an annual turnover of 1.3 billion CHF (Swiss Francs) and a staff of 5’500 employees worldwide towards 4’500 in 2018. The Group adapts its teams to serve its customers at its best. And it is their confidence in our staff and trust in our machinery and systems that leads to these very satisfying financial results.

Q:What is the focal point of your company in the manufacturing?

A:Stäubli focus is on delivering solutions that fit the real market needs, fulfilling the industrials requirements. Therefore Stäubli is constantly listening to and partnering with customers worldwide. In manufacturing, the Group cares about building with first class materials, and about improving the engineering and integrating of ingenious electronic solutions.

Q:What are the distinctive features of STAUBLI products to remain competitive in the market?

A:Major assets such as longevity, reliability and flexibility can be assured. One example of latest electronic solutions in weaving preparation is Active Warp Control (AWC) features in our SAFIR drawing-in machines. Double End Detection (DED) as a standard feature and color or S-/Z- detection and management options, are examples available exclusively in Stäubli solutions, and allowing optimized style changes in weaving preparation.

Would you give some details on  Research and Development (R & D) Activities?

A:Today the Stäubli Group has 2’100 granted or pending patent, being the result of intensive and continued R&D. 600 R&D engineers and application specialists are enthusiastic every day about searching and developing new solutions that bring, in regards of Stäubli Textile, further benefits to weavers and knitters.

Here we can highlight for instance the NOEMI new electronic structure in our LX/LXL/LXXL Jacquard machines.  Featuring Noemi, even very big formats can be woven absolutely reliably. Reduced space requirements, less connections, and better airflow in the machine are only some of the advantages that bring benefits like less downtimes.

Q:In what direction innovations in the weaving field are advancing in the years?

A:Stäubli is constantly innovating to give the very best solutions for industrial production. We have always believed in a strong and close relationship with our customers all over the world who trust in more than 500,000 Stäubli machines. Now, Industry 4.0 is an opportunity to strengthen our long-term relationships even further and to help our customers find new solutions for their daily challenges.

Q:What kind of works have you carried out to keep up with the fast moving technology and innovations?

A:As before mentioned, we launched for instance the completely newly designed NOEMI electronics in our LX/LXL/LXXL Jacquard machinery series. In general, in  R&D weaving it is all about utmost reliable continued weaving at highest speeds, in frame and in Jacquard weaving. In knitting for instance, we offer the D4S device, granting a fast moving and automatic toe closing process on the circular sock knitting machine. This toe closing device is the perfect solution for sock knitters that want to increase their productivity.

Q:Would you mention about the various strategies pursued by STAUBLI towards export activities in 2020-2021? Which countries are targeted specifically for exports?

A:Stäubli Textile is working closely with all major fabric producing markets, and for sure with the main three markets, namely China, India and Turkey. But for sure we are as well focusing on specific markets, such as Italy with its woolen applications or Europe and the US with specific technical fabrics for lightweight construction and new applications.  Many major trade fairs 2020 have been postponed to 2021, but our customers can be assured that our local teams are here in the local markets to support. The mills can count on Stäubli teams being there to accompany every mill intensively to restart successfully and to face the future challenges.

Q:Would you assess the current position of textile sector and weaving discipline in Turkey and in the rest of the world?

A:The textile industry remains among the most important industries worldwide. Woven applications can be find in any industrial fields, from automotive to home textiles.

What are the pros and cons of Turkey as a market in the sector under the evaluation of the activities around the globe?

Turkey plays an important role in many fields, let’s highlight some of them, such as denim and shirting. Turkey has skilled workforce and is proximate to the major textile consuming markets.

Q:Would you mention about the long-term projects, investments and targets of STAUBLI?

A:Our aim is to serve at its best our customers, to help them staying at the forefront of the weaving market. Among the long-term projects we can mention for instance our spare parts and service program.
