Within the scope of the "Turkey Weaving Atlas Project" carried out with the support of Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB) and Istanbul Sabancı Beylerbeyi Continuation Institute affiliated to the Ministry of Education General Directorate of Lifelong Learning, highlights of the use of traditional weaving in daily wear and home textiles were presented to the audience with the aid of theatrical show. Coordinated by Ayşe Dizman and curated by Güneş Güner, the Turkish Weaving Atlas Stage, which was staged with the vision of bringing traditional arts together with modern designs by keeping its commitment to its origin, received great acclaim with its show at the Presidential Complex. The clothes designed by famous designers such as Arzu Kaprol, Nedret Taciroğlu, Ece Ege, Tuvana Büyükçınar, Dilek Hanif, Simay Bülbül, Gülden Bilgili, Gül Ağış and Aslı Filinta from century-old weavers in Turkey's geography came to life on the Turkish Weaving Atlas Stage. Within the scope of the project, the patterns and colors of Üsküdar Çatması and the naturally dyed weaving of Denizli Buldan Bezi turned into contemporary designs. Samples prepared from weavings such as Antep Kutnu, Ankara Sofu, Şal Şapik, Ehram and Beledi were also exhibited at the Turkey Weaving Atlas Stage.

Ahmet Öksüz, President of Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB), said, “We are proud that these precious weavings have been brought to life in the hands of our valuable designers and enriched in a giant show on this stage within the scope of the project. As one of the stakeholders of this project; while taking an important part in this emotional bridge depicting our past and future and by forming a connection and in this way to increase the awareness about this historical heritage on a global scale is of invaluable importance for our Union and for our industry. Within the scope of our project, I would like to make publicize of our good news that we started our works to open our exhibition in the Presidential Complex in Istanbul as of this year.’’
