Transferring their engineering and experiences from the Air -Conditioning and HVAC&R(Heating, Ventilating, Air- Conditioning & Refrigerating)sector to the textile industry, Temsan Machinery started their business at a small workshop in 1960, in the field of agricultural machinery and spare parts manufacturing and continues it’s business today with a 10,000 square meters production space.Temsan, gaining a great amount of customer satisfaction in many industries, started its textile business by producing blow room machines and today continues it’s presence by including spinning, weaving and denim fabric production.
Temsan Chairman Yusuf Kesim explained that they started their fabric production with the 39 Picanol labeled weaving machines that they had bought from America in the year 2000. Today they have 110 looms recorded, used for weaving and Mr.Kesim stated that they were acting very cautiously, taking into consideration the current state of the market.
The Increasing Potential of Kahramanmaraş
Mr Kesim explains that they entered yarn manufacturing sector by the incentives given by the government in the year 2007 and he states “Now we have a daily yarn production capacity of 18 tons. Taking into consideration the increasing textile potential of Kahramanmaraş, we have plans on new investments in our agenda,”he said.
Mr.Kesim explained that they were in continous innovation and change in accordance with the market conditions and added that they began their denim production in 2012.”The machines we use for production are custom made and are imported from Germany, for the time being we are producing denim with 110 stalls. We are working on projects and innovative experiments with raw clothing for denim treatment. With the results of our ongoing studies we see that there is a very high demand for the denim fabrics we produced with the brand D-Plus.”
Quality environment is necessary for textile
Kesim expresses the experience gained from the production of air-conditioning and HVAC&R (Heating, Ventilating, Air- Conditioning & Refrigerating)in which they use in textile production, “We use our air conditioning in the fields of textile production. In textile production there are various fields such as cotton, spinning, weaving, dyeing and garments. In these fields, indoor temperature and air quality are confronted by the manufacturer as the most important factors that affect the quality of the product.” For quality products, indoor conditions should be kept in balance at a certain rate says Kesim, “Even small differences in the indoor temperature and humidity, may cause damage or of poor quality in the fabric. We can say that, in this field, the textile air-conditions we produce gives the best performance.”
The Exhibition will positively contribute to Kahramanmaraş
Kesim specified they are pleased that the textile machinery exhibition KTM2014 will be organized in Kahramanmaraş, a province of one of the locomotives in the Turkish industry, “In this way we will find the opportunity to learn new technologies. I believe this exhibition will be a unique environment for new ideas and deals, to see the last point where technology, energy and environmental issues has come to. Because of the exhibition will take place with international participation, it will bring together many participants from Turkey and around the world, will also have the opportunity to see the reflection of the work done in the sector expresses Yusuf Kesim, saying it will provide a major contribution to Kahramanmaraş both in tourism and awareness, also wished the exhibition to be beneficial for Kahramanmaraş.
