Developing high quality systems for weaving industry, Stäubli attracted a great deal of attention both with its technological machines that it displayed at ITM Hightex Texpo Eurasi and the close dialogue that it established with its clients. While clients showed interest in the technologies displayed at the stand of the firm, the jacquard series of SX series became the most outstanding product. At ITM fair, we carried out an interview with Fritz Legler, Marketing and Sales Chairman of Stäubli which is one of the leading firms of the sector with its numerous employees throughout the world, sales and service units in more than 25 countries as well as agencies in 50 countries and received information about the works of the firm.
Stating that Stäubli is a Switzerland-based international group which has been offering weaving solutions to textile sector since 1892, Fritz Legler expressed that: “We share our experience with our clients by offering new products to the sector each year. Among our products that we manufacture with the feedbacks of our clients and our experiences, there are versatile jacquard machines, high performance technologies, delicate damask fabric, tapestries, goblines, brocades, dress materials, wall fabric, towel and silk fabrics, narrow textile products and highly technical textiles.”
Reminding that they have been operating in Turkey with their own equity capitals since 1996, Legler said that they serve all the textile manufacturers of Turkey with their branches in Bursa, Denizli and Gaziantep in addition to their central office found in İstanbul. Emphasizing that they participated at ITM 2013 fair owing to the importance of Turkish market, Legler expressed that they explained SX series jacquard machines to the Turkish manufacturers. Making assessments about technical features of SX series, Legler continued by saying: “SX technology is a compact, vibration-free and user-friendly product. Our jacquard machine is offered with the latest generation of controllers JC7 which are equipped with a colour touch screen for easy operation. Besides, the new electronic components added in the jacquard machine increase the maximum number of hook that can be operated. This technology also stands out with its quick link connector system for easy and quick changes of harnesses.”
Warp Preparation Process is Important For Us
Giving information about the innovations that Stäubli offers to the sector in the area of warp preparation systems, Legler emphasized that warp preparation systems have a significant place in the textile machinery field. He added that Stäubli produces solutions for warp tying, automatic drawing-in and leasing. Legler said that: “There is almost no weaving establishment in Turkey which does not use our warp preparation technologies. Besides, automatic drawing-in solutions from Stäubli make economical sense which is attained through high performance, repetitive and guaranteed quality of any drawn in patterns in one operation of drawing in warp ends into drop wires, healds and reed dents at the same time.”
Stating that automatic drawing-in guarantees a proper and parallel yarn and color sequence without any double- or crossed ends, Legler continued by saying: “High quality warps on weaving machines are even more important than simply properly prepared beams from direct beaming, sectional warping and sizing. Manual drawing-in in this field where high investments are made interrupts the process and reduces the quality. This situation, in turn, leads to a slowdown in terms of cost effectiveness and profitability.”
We Earn As We Are Active In The Turkish Market
Making important assessments about the business ties and expectations in Turkish market, Legler stated that: “Turkey is the leading region to which we pay importance in the global arena where we has been operating for 120 years. We have close ties with textile manufacturers from all around Turkey and these ties become more strengthened through the fairs.”
What Stands Out In The Products Of Schönherr Is Productivity
Reminding the interest of Turkish manufacturers in the Alpha series carpet machines, Legler said that: “Manufacturers especially follow Alpha 400 and Alpha 500 series carpet machines with attention. These machines which have brought flexibility for carpet measurements up to 5.3 meters of weaving width were highly appreciated. This was one of our main themes at ITM fair. I hope that we would reach impressive sales figures owing to the business ties established on the occasion of fairs.”
Pointing out to the fact that the trust shown in Alpha series which takes place under the brand of Schönherr is increasing, Legler said that: “Productivity, flexibility and new design possibilities increase our popularity. Outstanding carpet designs with up to 12 weft colours, unrivalled colour and yarn combinations with double or triple pile or the innovative Magic Weft Effect binding technology make the difference. We offer a technology which does not include such problems as mixed contours or missing dots on the back of the carpet. No compromises are allowed in our high tech products of the highest quality. Our brand Schönherr steadily gains market share and popularity in such key markets as Turkey.”
A Positive Expectation For The Rest Of 2013
Stating that they also achieved high sales figures in the global arena, Legler concluded his remarks by saying: “After a stagnant year in 2012, mobility and recovery are observed in China, India and other markets. In any place where a strong textile market exists, Stäubli is ready to offer fast and local support to its clients with its own organisation and employees. In all projects that we take part, our local sales and service team will continue serving our clients as Stäubli, Schönherr and Deimo.”
