Rieter Trusts in Turkish Market

Rieter, as one of the most important machine suppliers of the Turkish yarn sector, keeps its relationships with Kipaş firm and solid. Rieter delivered the 4000th 1,5 m card machines that it manufactured to Kipaş with a ceremony. The machine which was delivered to Kipaş with an event hosting special guests also proves the high relationship and cooperation between two firms. Rieter’s Sales Director for Europe and Africa Rudolf Meier and Turkey Regional Sales Director Jürgen Seuberling made important explanations about their expertise and cooperation with Kipaş to Textile World which was the only sectorial publication invited to the event held in Kahramanmaraş.

Delivering a speech in the ceremony to which the authorities of Rieter and Kipaş attended, Rudolf Meier especially expressed that they are happy to work with Kipaş. Emphasizing that they also celebrate their long-lasting partnership, in the ceremony, as well as 4000th carding machine, Meier added that: “We feel ourselves at home, here. We want to continue cooperating in the future, too.”

This year was good for Rieter

Expressing that they, as Rieter, drew a successful graphic in 2011 and 2012, Meier said that they made important sales in Turkey, India and China, in particular. Mr. Meier pointed out to the following: “We continue the R&D studies for all of our machines. In 2013, we will shape both our quality perception and production process. We target to make innovations in many machines. In terms of market areas, we will do our best to increase our sales volume in Turkey.

An increasing demand for compact yarn machine

Pointing out to the fact that demand for Compact spinning machines, in particular, has increased in 2012, Rudolf Meier reported that the high success they achieved in the production of open end and compact yarn helps them be perceived more positively in the sector. Expressing that yarn production from short fibers will increase in the future, Meier continued his remarks as such: “Compact yarns are known to be high tenacity, elongation and pilling resistant yarns. However, thanks to compact yarn’s quality and performance advantages in comparison with conventional ring yarn, compact yarn is preferred in many fabric types. We also give prominence to quality from beginning to the end in all the available technologies and all machines types.”

We asked a question about their plant in Czech Republic which is on the agenda with its recent revision works and Rudolf Meier explained that they focus on R&D studies in this region to produce high quality technologies. Stating that they yielded successful results in terms of development of the production plant, Meier also added that they focus on the technologies of the future there from now on. Expressing that the information about the technological products developed here are not disclosed, Meier argued that the new products would yield successful results in the future without giving technical details.

Turkish Market is very important for us

Turkey Regional Sales Director, Jürgen Seuberling also made assessments about the Turkish market to our magazine. Mr. Seuberling reported that, in consideration of all machine sales of Rieter from past to the present, Turkey is seen as the biggest market but recently other markets overtake Turkey.

Giving detail information about their cooperation with Kipaş, Seuberling explained that they achieved high commercial ties with Kipaş with whom they have always had good relations. Saying that: “Kipaş’s approach focused on quality and technology as Rieter is the underlying reason of our good relations.”, Meier also added: “Kipaş is an effective firm in Kahramanmaraş. Although their business areas are different, their cultures are similar. We bear certain similarities including entering in the sector following serious investigations, meeting the needs of the sector and keeping up with the development. In this respect, we promote our relationships with Kipaş to even higher levels. This cooperation increases the global power of both firms.”

Impact of Middle East on the Market is Limited

Mr. Seuberling mentioned that problems in the Middle East will inevitably affect Turkey negatively but there is not such an indicator now. Stating that “Russia is known as an important yarn purchaser in the Turkish market but it can review its purchase decisions pursuant to the changing policies.”, Seuberling pointed out to these: “Global textile sales can vary depending on political and cultural cases. If there is an increasing tendency throughout the world, Turkey also benefits from this. It seems that recent changes do not affect us and the sector, in general, too much. The economy is on a good track and we are not affected right now. I hope we will achieve a good sales graphic with Erbel Agency, our distributor in Turkey, in the forthcoming period.”

Telling that they enhanced their achievements in the Turkish market with Erbel, Seuberling concluded his remarks as such: “We realize the high quality relationships established with the clients in cooperation with Erbel. Our single objective is to maintain our successful works in the long run with our distributor Erbel and Kipaş, as one of our most important clients.”
