Thanks to the input of the Center, operates in the DOSAB complex located at the Bursa Technology Coordination and R & D Center (BUTEKOM) facility that has established in 2016, plans are underway to conduct textile-oriented tests domestically not globally in order to save both time and money.
At the Center, where R & D studies are carried out on textile and technical textiles, test analysis and inspection, project services, sample production, technical reports, technical consultancy, training and organization services are provided to the textile companies locally.
At the Center, which obtained the international "ISO 17025 Laboratory Accreditation" certificate from the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) recently, within the test analysis and inspection services concept, ensuring the validity of results attributable to the companies around the globe, fiber, yarn, fabric physical, performance and comfort, color diseases , combustion, chemical, garment accessories, carpet, elastic flooring, plastic and rubber, leather, aging, inspection tests and analysis are performed.
With the implementation of the Sample Production Center, involving a number of worldwide brand providing service to 250 institution and corporation, production processes are to be in sequence from the fiber-yarn production, fabric production, dyeing, printing and coating to finishing and garment operations with the support of divergent devices up to 30.

General Manager of BUTEKOM Mustafa Hatipoğlu has shared data on the number of laboratories built-in the center and said that five laboratories are established at the center.
Hatipoğlu continued his speech by giving some information on the urgent demand for the test and inspection demand of the textilers at the test centre affecting cities within the country starting from Bursa and said; ‘’There was a growing demand for accreditation for this. After long-lasting endeavors around two months ago, ‘17025’ accreditation received from TÜRKAK. Currently we are conducting internal activities to widespread that accreditation in order to be appreciated amongst the multinationals and to take every essential step to make this place an international test center.’’
Hatioğlu sustained his comments on the promotional activities and company visits scheduled by the marketing manager and said; ‘’This place is the first location in Turkey. It has wide range of facilities and has established by the Trade and Industry Chamber. Our first and foremost purpose is the conduct tests at an accredited laboratory to get certified, that has been conducted in Turkey by the Turkish representatives of the companies or performed at the different locations abroad until now, comes with the lower price thanks to the local currency not at the foreign currency basis.’’
TOBB's 'R & D Innovation / University-Industry Cooperation Award'
Technical Textile Center of Excellence, to be a subsidiary of the Bursa Technology Co-ordination and R & D Center (BUTEKOM) and given a unique identity at the qualified conversion of sectors by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Industry (BCCI), has won an award at the Chamber/Stock Exchange Project competition organized by the Turkey Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB)
BTSO has won the first prize amongst 365 Chamber and Exchange where 40 projects have reached finals at the TOBB Chamber/Exchange Project Competition in the ‘’R & D and Innovation / University Industry Collaboration Textile Category’’ with the Textiles and Technical Textiles Center of Excellence project. BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay received the award of the Textile and Technical Textile Center of Excellence from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
