Kipaş Holding, one of Turkey's most important integrated companies, continues to grow with investments. Allocating an important part of the annual turnover to investments, the holding is in the front with its 7 companies among the top 500 companies in Anatolia. Turning into an internationally recognized brand with its production and investments in the field of textiles in particular, Kipaş continues to strengthen its relations with Rieter, with whom it cooperated intensively in the machine park. Having purchased 4000 carding machines produced by Rieter, Kipaş held a ceremony, in which representatives of the holding and Rieter participated, in the spinning mill of the holding. The 4 thousandth carding machine was awarded with a plaque as a souvenir of the day.
As Textil Dünyası Magazine, we were at the ceremony. There, messages promising the continuousness of the co-operation between the two companies were given. Giving a greeting speech to the participants, Hanefi Öksüz, Kipaş Holding Chairman of the Board of Directors, made impostant statements to our magazine. Mentioning that the investments would continue and they focused on Maraş region for the investments, Öksüz said that they caught success bringing together professional business principles with 'humanitarian' relations.
Our Yarn Investments will Continue with Rieter
Expressing that the textile segment always took Kipaş to the highest point, Hanefi Öksüz stated that they considered Rieter as an important technology partner. Öksüz said that they would continue co-operation with Rieter, and he continued as follows: “As long as our yarn investments continue, we will continue to work with Rieter. There is no reason to leave working with this group. With Rieter's product quality and the facilities it provided in terms of service, the cooperation is growing steadily. In fact we have become a family. Machinery manufacturing is not performed just in a laboratory. Essentially, in the companies that manufacture using the machines, the development of those machines is provided. We are in such cooperation with Rieter, we are institutions complementing each other.”
Öksüz said that Kipaş Holding maintains activities in seven different sectors; and he added that they were to continue to exist in in textiles. Expressing that their investments and modernizations in textiles would continue, he explained that their capacity utilization rates were very high. Öksüz said: “Our first goal Investments is not providing an increase in capacity. Our primary goal is to maintain our capacity in the most modern way. We will continue to work with companies that serve this purpose. We have come to a very important point in in textiles Hereafter, we may make investments for capacity increasing rather than greenfield investment. We should make use of the point we reached in the best way and we need to continue our work with high quality production.
Kahramanmaraş Investment is a Dept of Gratitude
Expressing that they made investments in geothermal in Aydın, Hanefi Öksüz explained that they ran the largest geothermal plant in Turkey. Saying that generating electricity from geothermal is the most important sector that our holding is to develop in, Öksüz underlined that all the investments apart from these were for Kahramanmaraş. Öksüz said “we are people of this city”; and he continued as follows: “Kipaş Holding the largest company in Kahramanmarş. We concentrated the investments in this region. We do not go out of the region in terms of investments unless we have to. These investments are debt of gratitude for our home town. By developing Maraş constantly, we would like to make Maraş one of the most developed cities in Turkey. We are one of the fastest investing dynamic groups we will continue to industrialize Maraş.”
Reminding that they had a new paper industry enterprise other than textile in Maraş, Öksüz expressed that as Kipaş they aimed to make large industrial investments throughout Turkey. E
Explaining that they attached great importance to paper manufacturing and built a facility which does not negatively affect the environmental conditions and which is quite developed in terms of product quality and energy costs, Öksüz noted that they set out with a high capacity. Öksüz said: “We began with the cement, and then made the dam. The geothermal investments are around US 200-300 million. The paper industrial plant is a very large investment. We will expand even more by doubling our cement plants which are the largest investments in Kahramanmaraş.
Support for Young People is Required
Hanefi Öksüz stressed that Kipaş had strong human relations with all its employees like a family company; and he noted that they sticked to the professional work principles. Reiterating that they implemented professionalism and humanistic approach together, he announced that they had successful results.
Öksüz reminded that they completed the 30th year in the industrial sector; and he underlined that they supported their employees in terms of equipment and caught success in production with young and dynamic employees. Expressing that as a company they always aimed to pave the way for young people, and he continued as follows: “Youth is the symbol of dynamism. We need to trust them and pave the way for them. As Kipaş, in every step we take, we progress with the support of young people. This is one of the most important aspects of our success. In addition, we pay much attention to innovation, technology and customer satisfaction. Following closely our costs, we investigate product demands around the world. Accordingly, we perform production. If you put them all in a row, success is caught spontaneously.
Social Responsibility Projects in Progress
Stating that the region taught them to win as a recompense for their work, Hanefi Öksüz said that they presented their works of mastery. Öksüz expressed that as Kipaş Holding, they provided a significant portion of the income of Kahramanmaraş, and he reminded that they played an active role in terms of social responsibility. Öksüz finished his words as follows: “Industrialism means sharing. It is necessary to know how to share the earned money with public and workers. We built more than 10 schools for our government. We control one of them ourselves. We established a heart hospital, and gave it to the university. We established a dialysis center and delivered it to the Ministry of Health. As our company gains, we will continue to invest; and in addition to these, the work in the field of social responsibility will continue.
