KEY Holding, which has become active in the textile industry this year while sustaining its mills in paper, corrugated cardboard, paper bags, recycling, construction, logistics and plastic pipe industries; will expand the production capacity of its yarn mill located in Islahiye Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) with new machinery. Mahmut Ciger, Deputy Chairman of KEY Holding Board of Directors said that they have always been in close contact with the developments in textile, and when the right time comes for them to purchase yarn mill in the first months of 2021, they taken on this opportunity without hesitation. In textile industry, in which they take part in the industry with 6 open-end and 11 ring yarn production lines in Islahiye Organized Industrial Zone, their future investments have shared by Mahmut Ciğer who said the following, ’’Our first target is to pass our operations as we are new in the industry as KEY Mensucat. In our efforts, we have currently reached at good points. Another target is to reach around 18 thousand tons of production levels annually with our new yarn machinery order.’’
‘’We are in the process of getting new machinery’’
While Mahmut Ciğer talking about their mid-term goals to become an integrated facility with new investments as KEY Mensucat, ‘’We should enter in long-term investment plan in this context with the proper steps taken. Therefore, we are playing our part as members of our Holding and in this context; we have taken encouraging steps to expand our mills at Islahiye OSB. We are also continuing our negotiations with leading machinery manufacturers for the new machinery investment for our future vision. Currently, we have reached a point in which we can increase our capacity and product diversity and taken active steps already to reach these.’’ While revealing information about their future journey in textile industry with KEY Mensucat, Mahmut Ciğer said the following, ’’KEY Mensucat is a young entrepreneur. Our company will form a strategy towards reaching our own targets, will take giant steps in this direction, and with the new investments to fuel its growth, our company surely become one of the key players of our industry.’’
‘’We plan to Employ Thousand Personnel’’
While giving figures about their personnel that are a part of their investments in textile and their numbers reaching 250 employees currently, Mahmut Ciğer ensured about these figures to reach 350 personnel after the New Year period. Ciğer further shared his trust and confidence in employment figures to increase up to 1000 personnel in couple of years’ time with the future investments and said, ‘’We now can say with a confidence that Islahiye has the capability to employ personnel in highest figures as a business center. ‘Giving information about the medium and long-term goals of the Holding, Ciğer said that they are planning to reach zero carbon levels in a short period of time at all locations in which they make their production in line with the sustainability criteria’s set for them.’’
