Kahramanmaraş is ranked amongst the 500 Major Industrial Cooperations of Turkey ranking announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry every year with 11 companies. The city has set targets both with its $ 5 billion in industrial production, 2.5 billion dollars in foreign trade volume and also with $ 5 billion export target bringing the city to a point to find a place amongst the first 10 most developed cities locally. Textile sector alone putting a number of organizations in to the List of 500 and in specifics, Kipaş Mensucat İşletmeleri A.Ş., Kipaş Kağıt Sanayi İşletmeleri A.Ş., Mem Tekstil Sanayi A.Ş., İskur Tekstil Enerji Tic. Singing. A.Ş, Şirikçioğlu Mensucat San. Tic. A.Ş., KÇS Sanayi A.Ş., Kahramanmaraş Kağıt San. ve Tic. A.Ş., Matesa Tekstil San. Tic. A.Ş., İskur Boya Tekstil Tic. Ve San. A.Ş., Maren Maraş Elektrik Üretim San. Ve Tic. A.Ş ve Arıkan Mensucat San. ve Tic. Inc. are to be counted.
'Our Employment Opportunities are Growing'
Making a statement on the subject, Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KMTSO) Chairman Şahin Balcıoğlu congratulated Kahramanmaraş companies, which were included in the 500 Major Industrial Cooperations survey, “As our companies are growing, our economy and employment opportunities also benefit from this trend” and mentioned about the Kahramanmaraş based firms, 11 companies in total, by an increase from 9 to 11 in comparison to last year in connection with the research conducted by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) called 'Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises Survey 2019 and said, "Kahramanmaraş based industrialists of Turkey with all the power continuously works, produces and conduct exports to support economic and social development of the city. I sincerely congratulate our companies that do not dismiss their employees, strive to maintain their production and exports, and also increase their market searches, even during the COVID-19 epidemic process. There is no doubt that as our companies are growing, our economy and employment opportunities also benefit from this trend. The fact that Kahramanmaraş develops in a real sense and offers a better future to our people with high value added production depends on the increase of our large companies by number.’’

Kahramanmaraş currently ranks 8th stage amongst the provinces with the highest number of companies with in the first 1000 in large enterprises category. We had 9 companies in the top 500 last year. This year, 2 new companies were also taken into the list and in total, 11 of our companies are to be counted amongst the leaders of the list. I especially congratulate these newcomers.
