Japanese textile machineries sector which brought an innovative perspective to textile sector with the importance they give for R&D, expanded 30, 7% in the first six months of 2015.

Japanese textile machinery manufacturers who brought an innovative perspective to the world textile sector with machines they manufacture and develop, is shining out with the importance they give for R&D and P&D. Japanese Textile Machinery Association (JTMA) composing with the Japanese textile machinery manufacturers allocating the biggest research and development budget in the world, according to the statistics, Japanese textile and garment industry machinery export recorded 30%7% of growth annual basis.

According to the 2014 numbers, Japan’s machinery export which was at the 4th range with 135.2 billion dollar, reached to 127,5 billion yen annual basis by increasing 37,9% in the first six months of the year. And the Japanese textile machinery export is recorded to reach 16, 92 billion yen with 27, 2% of increase annual basis in this period. And the product category which had the most import increase became fabric weaving machine which reached to 0, 78 billion yen by increasing 166, 2%.

JTMA

Behind this consistent growth, there is Japanese Textile Machinery Association (JTMA) which is the roof organization of Japanese textile machinery manufacturers. Organization which was founded after World War II, to cover up machinery deficiency which happened due to the trade embargo by USA, directed to research and development activities with the support of Japanese Government.

With the Korean War which occurred in 1950, Japanese textile machinery sector which gained growth trend with Japan textile sector that started to manufacture wearing materials for USA Army, increased its efficiency by reaching the highest growth speed in the world in a short time. Reforms, private sector investments, qualified work labour, high saving tendency, flexibility to apply advanced technology, common and high education standards, low defense costs and stability at social, political and work labour relations played an important role of realizing all of these.

According to the data of JTMA at Japanese textile machinery sector which is the third biggest garment industry marketplace of the world after USA and Germany, 129 firms including world- wide brands such as Murata, Shima Seiki and Toyota carry on business. Although many of these firms passed their manufacture to China, manufacture at the plants in Japanese is continuing.

Other important marketplaces of Japan which exports 63% of its textile machineries manufacturing for China which became the manufacture base of the world includes India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, France, Italy and Pakistan.

Digital Print

Japanese textile machinery manufacturers who increased their market share with rapid expanding of digital print field at textile sector, proved their success at this field to the whole world. According to the research carried out by JTMA, 8% of the textile products world-wide is manufactured with digital print. If considering that digital textile print has a 164 billion dollar potential, Japanese textile machinery sector will raise to the top ranges.

 

Aichi Vermitonem

Aichi which is among the leader textile machinery manufacturers of Japan manufactures textures and weaving looms to make synthetic yarns and natural fiber yarns gain physical features like writhing and bending. Machines manufactured by Aichi which shows a special importance for R&D activities are used many firms especially in India.

Asagoe Machine Mfg.co. Ltd.

Asagoe which was founded in Japan in 1975 manufactures conical knitting, direct warping and cotton sizing machines. Asagoes which increased its efficiency area with the importance it gives for the process of R&D and P&D, ranks among the leading brands of Japan.

Brother International Ltd.

Brother which is the world brand at industrial type sewing machine was founded by Kanekichi Yasui in 1908. Brother which launched the first sewing machine that all part of it was manufactured in Japan in 1932 has been moving with superfine and unique service motto since it was first established.

Ichinose

It marked an era at textile sector with the machine which could make printing with rotation printing machine it developed in 1960. While the previous machines could have made 10 thousand meter printing, the printing machine that was manufactured by Ichinose started to make 100 thousand meter printing. Ichinose which sells almost all of its manufacture to China, carries out studies for digital print.

Mimaki

Mimaki Engineering which was the pioneer of digital textile printing technology, turned into a global company with its operation centers in Asia, Pacific, USA and Europe after it was founded in Japan in 1975. Mimaki which ranks among the companies dominating digital textile sector with its innovative products, carries out manufacture at many fields from access level printing cutting machines to printing machines with dyeing sublimation.

Murata

Murata which started for manufacture in 1935, gives service with its 5600 personnel which are dispersed globally in our present day. The firm which expanded its sales network by uniting with Muratec in 2012, manufactures textile machines, benches, sheet metal machine, Clean FA systems and communication equipment.

Nippy Kikai Co. Ltd.

Toyota Industries

And two years later, Toyoda established automatic weaving looms factory. Toyota which carries its experience gained at textile on all fields continues its innovative manufacture.

Shima Seiki

Shima Seiki which has been carrying on business since 1962 at knitting machinery, keeps on meeting the requirements of textile sector. Among the fundamental work units of Shima Seiki at knitting machinery sector with its 1730 personnel includes garment industry, CAD system and textile printing systems.
