Turkish companies having exhibited at ITMA ASIA 2014 Exhibition are quite happy with the interest despite small problems experienced during the show

ITMA ASIA Was Very Successful for Turks

The Far Eastern textile world followed ITMA ASIA 2014 Exhibition organized in the middle of June at the host of China. The exhibition was organized with the participation of 1,300 companies and 100 thousand visitors and consequently brought together the Far Eastern textile manufacturers and textile machinery manufacturers. One of the winning parts of this meeting was the Turkish textile machinery manufacturers. Turkish companies welcoming Far Eastern customers with their innovative and high quality machineries are quite happy with the feedback they have received. Company representatives having spoken to our Editorial Board informed that they had the opportunity to have several meetings and that the exhibition was very successful. In addition, Turkish machinery manufacturers believe that the uprising quality search in the Chinese market will open the gates of this market to the Turkish companies.

“Our Customers Placed Orders”

Asteks Makine, Technical Coordinator, Mr. Necati Kulaklı: We took part in ITMA ASIA 2014 with a 22 square meters booth, where we have exhibited our apron and sleeve products. We had the opportunity to meet our agencies and customers coming from different countries. We have received their orders and we are responding to these enquiries.  Besides customers visiting our booth, we had intense interest from exhibitor companies from Pakistan, China and India. ITMA ASIA was impressive and good both in terms of exhibitor interest and the exhibition ground design. It was possible to see exhibitors around the world at the exhibition. We have even hosted our customers coming from Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri and Istanbul.

“We will focus on China”

Dilmenler Makine, Marketing and Sales Manager, Mr.Servet Sırataş: As Dilmenler Makine, we have exhibited on a 350 square meters booth at ITMA ASIA. We have introduced our DMS 11 and DMS 03 model, new generation fabric dyeing machineries. Our DMS 11 model having a capacity to dye 1 kilogram dark colored fabric with 30 liters of water has received great interest. This model is manufactured from European materials and can dye the fabric and fiber without any breaks and barré.  We have sold 4 units of DMS 11 to Chinese customers having visited our booth. There was an intense visitor interest to ITMA ASIA from Turkey. We have also sold 7 units of DMS 11 to Turkish customers whom we met at the exhibition. The exhibition was very successful for us as we received great interest from Indian and Bangladeshi exhibitors. There were lots of machinery manufacturers at ITMA ASIA 2014. As far as I have observed, cheap machinery area has ended for Chinese machinery manufacturers. Chinese companies are now showing efforts to manufacture more quality machineries. This is a very good opportunity for us in order to enter the Chinese market as the more the quality of the machine increase, the more expensive it is. Consequently, we will be able to compete with local manufacturers in the Chinese market under the same conditions, that is to say more or less at the same prices. We have been selling to China even if we didn’t have a sales agency but no we will focus on China with an agency having a professional team.

“ITMA ASIA Was the Most Successful ITMA ever”

Güven Çelik, Sales and Marketing Representative, Mr. Mehmet Umut Kutlu: I can say that ITMA ASIA was very successful for us. We exhibited our KM5 Control Machine and PM50H Fabric Roll Packaging Machine in our 35 square meters booth. Our PM50H model, which can pack 60 rolls in an hour and which is smaller than its competitors, received huge interest. Exhibitors from India, Indonesia, Belarus and Poland visited our booth and showed great interest. We had face to face meetings with especially professional visitors having determined their target for the first 3 day of the exhibition. Here we really made benefit from the fact that ITMA is held in China. Although people living in countries like Indonesia, China, India and Bangladesh are rich, they cannot attend ITMAs organized in Europe so intensely due to visa issuance problems. Thus, I believe that ITMA ASIA has more advantage than the other exhibitions. On the other hand, this ITMA ASIA was far better than the ones we participated in the previous years in terms of organization.

“We Have Seen that We Are World Brands”

Nit Örme, Board Director: We were present at ITMA ASIA with a 24 square meters booth in order to exhibit and introduce our machinery parts. Before heading for China, we sent our booth’s picture to 5 thousand companies and announced that we would be present at the exhibition but as our booth allocated in Hall E3 for us was not appropriate, visitors could not reach us.   We received well interest from companies from China, India and Mongolia but participant had difficulty to find us on the first day. Anyway, even with the interest we received, we understood that we are a world brand as Nit Örme. On the first day of the exhibition, at 9 o’clock Chinese State Representatives, statistics institution representatives and associate professors from universities visited our booth. Then we had the opportunity to visit Nit stores located in China. I can say that the reliability of the Turkish brands increased thanks to Nit machinery parts.

“The Exhibition Ground was Huge and very Disordered”

Örnek Makine, Export Responsible, Mr.Tahir Kazas: We exhibited the machinery parts manufactured by us at ITMA ASIA with a 30 square meters booth this year. We had a few serious meetings. That is to say the exhibition was good for us. As one of the biggest three machinery manufacturers, we had great demand from Iran and China where the carpet industry is very alive. According to me, I think that there was a problem in terms of company distribution within the halls in the exhibition. If companies were cumulated according to booths, you could find everything related to an industry in a hall and this would be better. The exhibition ground was already huge and it was disordered which consequently made it worse.

“There Was an Enormous Number of Visitors from Turkey”

Elteksmak, Foreign Sales Expert, Mr.Rafet Seçkiner: We exhibited our ELTEKSMAK Elmego-W Continuous tumbler drying machine at our 150 square meter booth. We had the opportunity to finalize a hot sale to a Bangladeshi company. In addition, we made offers to several buyers from different countries. We will try to finalize our orders made to customers and visitors having received information about our company and machinery. We had negotiations with people from different countries to grant agency but I can say that we are about to give our decision for Pakistan. During the exhibition period, we welcomed visitors from mainly China, India, Iran, Uzbekistan and also Turkey unexpectedly. I can say that we had a successful exhibition. The organization was good but the fact that most of the staff could not speak English was a real problem and led to several difficulties. We hope that in the future, the owners of the exhibition and its partners will send staff with whom we can communicate easily.
