Intertek, the leading global Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is pleased to announce that they are joining the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Programme, a major body which is leading the textile, leather and footwear industries to advance towards zero discharge of hazardous chemicals. In becoming a contributor, Intertek will support the Programme’s vision of achieving the widespread implementation of sustainable chemistry and best practices in the textile, leather and footwear industries to protect consumers, workers and the environment. Intertek stated that they were proud to be joining 23 fashion brands, 33 value chain affiliates, as well as 14 industry associates in working together to drive industry-wide change in responsible chemical management.
