Manufacturing of textile machinery has gone through a growth trend and has settled on a critical position in the economy of Turkey. The textile industry, which is considered as one of the locomotive sectors of the Turkish industry, is among the main strengths of the country's exports. Turkey's first textile machinery exports despite experiencing small scale growth since 1990’s have risen to a higher point today. Turkish textile machines are being exported to 150 countries from Europe to the Middle East. When we look at the overall export statistics of textile machinery in 2019, earlier figures, which was reached at 714 million 84 thousand 132 in 2018, increased by 10.39 percent in 2019 and reached 788 million 311 thousand 39 dollars. Following the opposite trend, the figures which decreased by 39.30% in imports, was 1 billion 904 million 717 thousand 116 dollars in 2018 and fell to 1 billion 156 million 149 thousand 636 dollars in 2019
The Lowest Export Recorded in Fiber Manufacturing Machines
It was observed that the highest export figures achieved in washing, cleaning, drying, ironing, wrapping, and folding of woven yarns with the application of special machinery and the figures reached 639 million 730 thousand 895 dollars, while the lowest export figures was achieved in natural and synthetic fiber manufacturing machines at around 2 million 141 thousand 232 dollars
The imports of machines and devices used for the extrusion, drawing, texturing and similar processes of synthetic or artificial materials named with the code 8444 in the GTİP as 135 million 490 thousand 28 dollars in 2018, this figure increased by 22.60% in 2019, amounting to 166 million 123. While the export figures rose by 30.88%, the number of exports increased from 1 million 635 thousand 956 dollars to 2 million 141 thousand 232 dollars
11 Million Dollars Difference in Exports of Fiber Machines
In the GTIP report named with the code 8445, when we look at the export figures of the machines for the preparation of the fiber material appropriate for weaving, spinning, folding, twisting and yarns, there is a difference between figures approximately at 11 million dollars. Nearly 50 Percent Regression in Import of Knitting and Sewing Machines

189% Increase in Imports of Non-Woven Textile Machine

In light of the import figures, an increase of 189 percent audited with the figures increasing from 45 million 889 thousand 573 dollars to 131 million 841 thousand 19 dollars
11% Increase in Yarn Machinery Exports
When we look at the export figures of the machines for weaving, cleaning, drying, ironing, wrapping, folding the textile yarns named with the code 8451 in GTIP, it increased from 11% to 639 million 730 thousand 895 dollars in 2018 with an increase of 11 percent. 21 Percent Regression in Imports of Sewing Machines and Accessories

It was seen by the export figures of the same product category that the figures decreased by 0.6 percent in the same year and decreased from 33 million 289 thousand 696 dollars to 33 million 77 thousand 685 dollars
