ITKIB ITA which is founded with the aim of supporting to high value- added products and empowerment of textile sector in the context of the European Community project, continues to their activities in Tekstilpark (Textilepark) campus, Halkalı. It consists of Physical Tests Laboratory which thermal permeability and water vapor permeability of coated technical textile fabrics are tested, accredited by TURKAK for testing methods at hotplate device, has the feature of being the first in Turkey at the base of the initiative situated Laboratory of Chemical and Wet Processing, Polymer Laboratory (DSC,FTIR etc.) and Nanotechnology Laboratory. In the beginning of 2013 year, non-woven substrate and coating line which a sample can be prepared in the width of one meter and extruder pilot production lines, producing synthetic yarn, and digital printing machines take place in addition to the laboatory which is accredited.
ITKIB ITA, ITU, Ege University and Oztek Textile from Turkey take place in European Community. With 2BFUNTEX project which 26 countries participate in, innovative functional textiles on the world market of research centers carry out studies in order to provide necessities toward increasing cooperation networks with world endustry. In the beginning of 2013 year, ITKIB ITA general manager Sunday Özgen said that applied and certified training would be given in the context of “Pilot Management and Being Activated Laboratories of ITKIB ITA Education, Research and Consultancy Centre Project” which is supported by Istanbul Kalkınma (Development) Agency. He stated that they aimed new projects by activating pilot management and raising qualified employee to sector. Teknoshow and ITKIB ITA and ITU,which organize project market, aim innovative functional textiles and accordingly providing their necessities at international congress on 30-31 May 2013 at ITU Taşkışla and at HIGHTEX Istanbul Technique Textiles and Nonwoven Exhibition on 1 April 2013 which is a continuation of this congress. ITA aims with this organization that textile industrialists and university projects bring together and provide cooperation.
