212 students in Turkey from 53 different Vocational and Technical High schools in the segment of Fashion Design Technologies Womenswear Designers participated in the competition which aims to illuminate the matter of need of quality workers in garment sector and the important roles of vocational schools for the sector.
The award ceremony of Fashion Design Technologies Skill Competition took place which hosted students who are going to determine their own future and creer plans with their own skills. In the competition, 55.000 Turkish liras at total is given as an award for the students.
Sector’s Driving Power is Vocational Schools
Due to that Clothing Industry in one of Turkey's largest sector in need of providing high value-added "qualified technical personnel", IHKIB and the Ministry of Education launched a special project which aims to emphasize the importance of the sector of the graduates of technical personnel in vocational high schools. The vocational schools let the gradute students of womenswear design to step into their career life quickly while making their dreams in paper come true. The contribution of the vocational school providing fast adaptation of the highlights of these capabilities with the recruitment process when the potential effects on Turkey may constitute a transformation of the industry is of great importance. For this reason, İHKİB continues to support vocational high schools throughout the country with the Ministry of National Education.
