Yeşim Group Corporate Communications Director Dilek Cesur while underlining the recent catastrophe which deeply affected everyone recently, and said, “But life somehow goes on notwithstanding our troubles. At this point, we would like to talk about ‘’How we are Better’’ by meeting with you all in this special day. Therefore, for 8 March World Women's Day which is celebrated all around the world with eventful celebrations, we would be happy to give you some hope via choosing a special and kind topic.’’ Zehra Ömeroğlu said, “Humor actually requires you to keep distance with events, and to look at events from some distance. Because when you call for empathy over and over, you can hardly generate humor. But in these tragic events, if you are not able to set sufficient distance between yourself and these tragedies, in the end you may suffer from negative outcomes and everyone may be deeply involved in this. Therefore, it is not easy to be productive in this type of narratives. However, humor and scenery does not own a single function alone; as said, their purpose is not to make you laugh but at the same time to make you think. For me, the healing power of humor comes from this. When you come to a point in which you cannot tolerate, someone’s guidance on you from a different angle may help you to discharge yourself from that deep depression at least for a moment and further supporting you in comprehending the same event from a different unique perspective which would relief your sadness at some point or to feel the state of solidarity.’’
Ömeroğlu stated that they are working on exhibition works to donate the income to earthquake victims and underlined that they have a project for children living in tent cities.
