TÜYAP Exhibition, one of the leading fair organizer company in Turkey, has applied to Competition Board to be taken its share over by REED CEE GmbH Austria. TÜYAP ExhibitionA.Ş will be transformed into a joint venture by REED CEE GmbH Austria and Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım after agreement according to the formal announcement in the website of Competition Board.

According to the committed agreement, collaboration with 50% partnership with Australian REED CEE GmbH will be done on 3 exhibitions which are organized by TÜYAP Exhibition A.Ş. In the written statement of TÜYAP, it is indicated that public opinion will be detailed informed with a press meeting after Competition Board’s approval related with partnership in 3 fairs by emphasizing 110 fairs are annually organized by TÜYAP Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım AŞ.

REED will Penetrate into Turkish Market

If the agreement is signed between companies after Competition Board’s approval, REED which is active in 36 countries with its Euro 9 billion turnover will have bought 50% share of TÜYAP that is sub-company of Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık, is a leading exhibition company of Turkey. Executives of Tüyap Tüm Exhibition which organized 110 out of 400 fairs in Turkey have indicated that discussions came out well.

English REED Exhibition completes negotiations about TÜYAP with its company of REED CEE GmbH in Austria. According to the latest received information, the partnership with TÜYAP Exhibition which involves the subjects such as medical, package and nutriment the agreement between two companies will affect abroad fairs and they will penetrate into new markets together.

Foreigners Want Turkish Exhibition Companies

The interest of foreign companies in Turkish exhibition companies which are in growing trend with its geographic location and having accessibility to the markets is increasing for a long time. As it can be remembered, the English Tarsus Group which is traded at the London Exchange, bought 75% share of Istanbul Fair Organization (IFO) in August, 2011. IFO which organizes the fairs of Sing İstanbul, Asansör İstanbul, REW İstanbul and InterShop İstanbul aims at increasing the number of exhibitor and visitor with the agreement. In the beginning of the 2012, England based Tarsus Group explained that they signed an agreement to buy 70% share of Life Media Exhibiton in return for TRY 30 million.

In the explanation from Tarsus which organizes annually 88 fairs from education to defence, from pharmaceutical industry to textile industry in many countries in the world, it is indicated that it the Group plans to receive 50% of its income from developing countries until 2013. The Group takes its name from Tarsus where is in Mersin that is accepted as heart of 3 divine religions. It conducts its studies within the scope of developing program so called Project 50/13.

The another example about foreign companies interest in Turkish companies is ITE Group. ITE Group bought 60% share of Yapı Endüstri Merkezi in July, 2011. ITE Group which organizes annually 190 fairs in 12 countries has a global network by having 25 offices in 14 countries. With Yapı Fuarları - Turkeybuild, ITE Group plans to reach markets in Turkey and its around which are natural supplementary of events in Russia and commonwealth of independent states where the company is leader for construction fairs due to this agreement.
