Erdem Tekstil that focuses on export hosted domestic and foreign purchasers in yarn fair. Erdem Textile booth that has participation beyond expectations attracted visitor’s attentions. Erdem Tekstil that presented its special fancy yarn and other yarn products to participants in fair makes export to many countries. Erdem Tekstil which makes production in a closed area covering 200.000 square meters and in an open area covering 650.000 square meters provides employment for 1.100 people. This firm which was founded in 1995 and began cotton yarn production in 1999, makes great impression in textile industry with its investment and R&D works. Firm contains ring carded, ring combed cotton, ring compact, open end, doubling and winding in itself. Erdem Tekstil that has capacity of 4000 tones production exports %40 of this rate. Firm which is export champion of Turkey in cotton yarn segment makes export to some countries such as Italia, Spain, German, Poland, Romania, and Greece.

‘We Were Affected Less Than Europe’

Murat Moda, Marketing Manager of Erdem Tekstil whose booth we visited in yarn fair that was made synchronously with ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013 Fair, made important explanations about firm. Moda said that they make % 100 cotton yarn production. Also he said that prices are more expensive but American cotton has advantages in terms of quality and picking by stating that they purchase cotton from America. Moda; “The fact that American cotton has usage of machine in cotton picking and automation meets our expectations. We use this yarn because of the fact that our customers prefer yarn that has contamination guaranteed. This situation affects our prices but we make production without sacrificing quality with permanency and service opportunities. “said.

Moda who reminded that a major part of export is made to Europen countries; “Economic crisis in Europe affected our sales. But Turkey has advantages in this situation. Customers avoid purchasing productions that have large and long –term contract because purchasing power of regions that have crisis fell, so they prefer productions which are supplied fast and easily. So fortunes of Far East countries reduce. Customers prefer countries such as Turkey which produces more quality production and provides faster service. Consequently, we affected less from this crisis.” said about effects of economic crisis in these countries on sales.
