E-Export figures are increasing rapidly in Turkey. The associated numbers have risen to 6.4 billion dollars from 5 billion dollars with a 27.4 percent increase in 2024. The Ministry of Commerce, which diversifies public grants in line with the change and transformation in world trade, implemented E-Export supports in August 2022 so that our exporters can benefit from the rapidly increasing e-export at maximum.
Head of the Department of E-Export, Digital Marketing, Behavioral Public Policies and New Generation Technologies of the Ministry of Commerce Hasan ÖNAL came together with company representatives already accessing E-Export grants provided by the Ministry of Commerce and are preparing for the process of being included in the scope, at the Aegean Exporters' Associations to share current developments and to get opinions and suggestions of our companies.
Total Exports Share 2.6%
Önal, who stated that e-export figures in Turkey reached 5 billion dollars in 2023 and entitled to 2.12 percent share in total exports, said that in 2024, when Turkey's general exports increased by 2.6 percent, e-export figures increased by 27.4 percent and reached 6.4 billion dollars, and its share in total exports increased to 2.6 percent. Önal, who stated that 207 companies, 2 Marketplaces, 6 Retail E-Commerce sites, and 9- E-Export Consortiums have benefited from e-export support in Turkey to date, provided detailed information to our companies about the E-Easy Export Platform (E-KİP).
Smart E-Export Robot from the Ministry of Commerce
Önal stated that the E-Easy Export Platform is an artificial intelligence-supported platform developed by the Ministry of Commerce for companies which aims to enter into e-export, already trading in e-export but searching for new markets, and sets themselves to define digital marketing tools to increase sales in line with the dynamics of the markets, and said, “All the information you need in your e-export journey is available under a single platform and made available to your service which interpreted with statistical data. The platform includes; Smart E-Export Robot, trainings conducted by expert trainers on e-export processes, logistics, digital marketing, country-based official transactions, legal regulations of a specific country regarding e-commerce, payment methods, all information from target audience’s tastes and preferences on marketplaces where all sales commercials will be conducted, Digital marketing, ciritical dates on majority sales figures in the country classification where e-export is made, and Professional solution partners.”
