“I am aware of the difficulties of my duty”
In the explanation she made to our Magazine, Buket Çelebi, the new Manager of Yarn Factories in Matesa, said that: “As an indicator of the fact that women can exist only with a stronger representation in the current political and societal decision-making mechanisms of Turkey, I am proud of being appointed to this senior management position and I hope that it will set an example.” Continuing her remarks by saying: “I am aware of the difficulties of my duty and mission in order to demonstrate the potential contributions of women to the management and development in an order where women and men would be equal in terms of rights and representation both to my company and the sector. I would like to witness an economy where women leaders take decisions in many other sectors and which thrives and grows with men and women side by side and the contribution of this situation to my company. In this context, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Ali Galip Çalık, the owner of our company, Mr. Talat Erayman, the Director-General of our company and to the Deputy Director Generals.”
Having graduated from the Department of Textile Engineering from Sütçü İmam University in 2000, Buket Çelebi completed her license degree on Business Management while working as OE Maintenance Chief in Matesa. Having acted as Ring Maintenance Chief and Denim Yarn Enterprise Manager, Buket Çelebi was also acting as Deputy Manager of Yarn Factories in addition to her recent position.
