The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) which perform introduction and incentive activities of the products which Italian textile machines manufacturers produce at global arena carry on business in 130 countries without any profit motive. ACIMIT with its 300 members is among the leading machine roof organizations of the world with about 3 billon market share.
Italian textile machine manufacturers who sell about 80% of the textile machines they manufacture for overseas, carry out the sales of 41% for Asia, 40% for Europe, 8% for Southern America, 6% for Northern America and 5% for Africa. The President of ACIMIT which is the roof organization of Italian textile machine manufacturers realizing a considerable amount of machine sales in Turkey, Raffaella Carabelli made special explanations for our Publication Group.
“Introduction is important for us”
Raffaella Crabelli who said they were carrying on introduction works worldwide for Italian textile machines stated that among these works ‘ Sustainable Technology Project’ has been maintained successfully for five years and added “We signed under important works with this attempt by providing raw material and energy saving for providing environment conscience. For runnings which carry on business at textile industry to reach low cost, high quality and short period targets at the same time, firstly change on running management understanding and practices requirements appeared”. Carabelli who stated that the determination of size of factors affecting share which is obtained from this share with the value paid for product by the runnings produced this share, said they were struggling for solve the problems covering the whole value chain of member firms.
In addition to this, Carabelli who said they were offering training and consultancy services for the firms to internationalize by helping on introduction and marketing issues, stated that textile based fairs were quiet important. Carabelli who said they could reach customers anywhere around the world thanks to the fairs also said they reached 2 billion dollars export number in 2014 and linked this to the introduction works they made and the increasing quality of Italian machinery sector.
“Education is a must”
Carabelli who stated that the most precious subject for ACIMIT was education said “We are following the education programs in universities which are applied as academically. There are running and textile engineering programs which are carried out by LIUC- Universita Carlo Cattaneo di Castellanza and Citta Studi Biella together. And we are opening education programs continuously at the universities in India and China”. Carabelli mentioning the difficulty in finding qualified staff at textile sector all over the world also said their prior target as ACIMIT was to educate Professional people for textile sector.
“Sustainability gained importance”
Carabelli saying that one another subject that ACIMIT gives importance is sustainability in textile sector stated that they revealed sustainability attempt called Green Label told this attempt gained great interest. Carabelli also said “Recently, increasing of prices and bureaucratic regulations especially in Europe and USA have turned into a real competition factor for retailers and consumers, Green Label attempt which we developed for targeting to provide solutions and for sustainable production for the firms which have trouble leans reducing raw material waste into minimum level and protecting the resources. Thanks to Green Label attempt stepped at water, chemical and energy consumption subjects, we are targeting to more effective production and lower cost. ”
80% of the Production is exported
Carabelli who said economic indicators were extremely positive in 2015 and stated devaluation happened in Euro also said “We are exporting of 80% of our production of the machines with the export increase in the final months of 2014. Now 36% of our export is carried out for China and India”.
Carabelli who stated that there would be a growth at global marketing in the next years, also said “I believe that especially big textile machines will play role in this growth. Especially in Bangladesh and Vietnam in Asia and Ethiopia in Sub- Saharan Africa, there is a rapidly- developing textile sector. Thus this will provide us new business opportunities”.
ITMA will slow down investments
Carabelli said “Turkish textile marketplace is keeping on being one of the most important marketplaces of the world. In last five years in Turkish marketplace, as being Italian textile sector we recorded 16% growth. In 2014, we recorded 7% growth by carrying out 228 million Euro export in Turkey”.
Crabelli stating that ITMA Milano which will be carried out in November will create a slowdown for the investments which will be done in European marketplace including Turkey, said after fair, investments will take form and dangle to 2015.
