Narkonteks, which produces in comfort and health-oriented underwear, thermal wear, sportswear, home wear and beach wear categories, will open its 4th factory in Van.

10 Million Euro New Investment from Narkonteks

At the factory, which planned to employ around 1,000 people, 85 percent of the employees will be women. Narkonteks Chairman of the Board Toygar Narbay said, “As the Narkonteks family, which was established in Izmir in 2005, we are proud to open our new factory in Van. We are proud of our upcoming investment in Van that has a regards as the new center of textile production in our country through the establishment of our Textile and Ready-to-Wear Organized Industrial Zone.’’

Narkonteks, which still has production facilities in Izmir and Manisa and a logistics center in Izmir, was projected to have a closed area of 24.000 m2 on a 35.000 m2 land. In the factory, which is planned to be opened in 2023, 85% of the employees are targeted to be women, and it is planned to produce 15 million units per year. All of the energy to be consumed in the new factory to be established by Narkonteks in Van, which was designed in accordance with EU standards with the emphasis on the concepts of environment and sustainability, will be obtained from the sun and a rainwater harvesting infrastructure will be engineered.

Toygar Narbay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Narkonteks, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony, said, “As the Narkonteks family, which was established in Izmir in 2005, we are proud to open our new factory in Van. We are a company that manufactures a wide range of products. We are proud of our upcoming investment in Van that has a regards as the new center of textile production in our country through the establishment of our Textile and Ready-to-Wear Organized Industrial Zone. As Narkonteks, it is of great importance for us to support the manpower in Van and to support Van in its development efforts and to the revival of its economy.’’

Narkonteks, which was awarded in the "Golden" category by the Aegean Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters' Association (EHKİB), within the scope of "Stars of Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exports in 2021", exports to more than 25 countries, primarily the Netherlands, Germany and England. Known also in Turkey and in the world for its Blackspade brand, Narkonteks aims to increase its exports in 2022 and plans to increase the number of stores with the Blackspade brand.
