
During his visit to Uşak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UTSO), İbrahim Şenel, the Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Economy, explained that the works for covering textile recycling will be commenced within the scope of incentivizing the investments in recovery and disposal facilities.
In his explanation, Şenel stated that recycling was covered within incentives under the title “regional incentives” in accordance with the requests by Uşak Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Reporting that works for adding textile in this scope will be commenced, İbrahim Şenel said; “We define recycling as processing of the material with no value and becoming usable again. We consider recovering the textile waste in this respect too”.
Making a statement on the issue Mustafa Kuvvet, Chairman of Uşak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UTSO), stated; “Thanks to our lobbying in Ankara with respect to recycling, the leading sector of Uşak, we have managed to remain the sector on the agenda. We have sent to report on the sector, to all of the ministries. Meanwhile, we have visited Zafer Çağlayan, the Minister of Economy, and Cevdet Yılmaz, the Minister of Development, as well as related directorates and personally communicated the issue to them. We have expressed the sector and the sector’s contributions, wherever we are. During this period, the sector has been covered within investment incentives. In the following period, as the chamber, we will provide consultancy to the investors to operate in recovery sector, which is important for Uşak’s industry, and will carry out works for new investments”.
