Stoll’s New Innovation to the Knitting Sector: CMS ADF-3

Strong brand of the flatbed knitting sector, Stoll introduced its innovations for knitting technologies with a special event to the Turkish textile manufacturers. The event which was held in Titanic Hotel on the 11 th December 2012 with the slogan of “New Technology with the Difference of Stoll” hosted the authorities of Stoll coming from Germany as well as the authorities of Mayer Agency as the representative of the firm in Turkey. In the event, prototype of the new machine CMS ADF-3 was closely examined. Ralf Fritschi, the Sales and Marketing Director of Stoll, delivered the opening speech and expressed its pleasure for meeting with Turkish clients who rank second in the sector of tricot.

Touching upon Turkey’s success in the flatbed knitting sector, Fritschi emphasized that they are satisfied with their cooperation with Mayer Agency. Expressing that Turkey recorded a fast growth with the advent of electronic flatbed knitting machines in 1990s, Fritschi continued by saying: “Constantly growing Turkey is an important market for us with its successful production policies. We are represented successful by Mayer Agency in Turkey. We continue taking the right steps with this common working understanding we have followed since 2010. We made an important change in 2012. We were born once more with new technologies as well as the change in the brand and slogan.”.

Giving brief information about CMS ADF-3 which was firstly presented in ITMA Asia fair this year, Ralf Fritschi stated that the machine is a flatbed knitting machine designed for high performance, high efficiency and high pattern capacity. Emphasizing that Stoll tries to support its clients in the field of pattern and collection, Fritsch also added that they aimed at following the fashions and trends more closely by establishing the fashion and technology department.

Making explanations about Devore technique in the organisation, Ali Yıldız, Technical Responsable of Stoll in Turkey stated that Devore has become a fashion in the world with its outstanding appearance. Emphasizing that Devore technique has been harmonized with Hp machines, Yıldız explained that different patterns emerged from the combination of thick and thin yarns. Lastly, Yıldız stressed that it is a efficient method in terms of time with its opportunity of continuing production after short-term steel change.

CMS ADF-3: Transition to Printer from Typewriter

Stoll continues its modern changes in the ‘Knit Ahead’ slogan, brand colors and all marketing activities  with the new technology CMS ADF-3 machine. Defining the CMS ADF-3 technology as “Transition to Printer from Typewriter”, the authorities of Stoll expect that the machine will reach successful sales figures in the coming seasons. The latest technology product which can manufacture creative and distinguished intarsia patterns, CMS ADF-3 targets to bring a new dimension to the flatbed knitting sector with high performance and high efficiency.

CMS ADF-3 which is a machine standing out with the feature of being used in the technical textiles in addition to intarsia, vanize and reverse vanize brings a different viewpoint to the flatbed knitting sector with directly fed and saddle-independent motorized feeders. Yarn feeding of the technology does not follow the current path of classical HP series. As saddles are not interconnected at the upper parts in CMS ADF-3 machine, the yarn is directly fed to the feeder. As a result, the yarn tension decreases and thus, yarn quality increases.

When the properties of the feeding system are considered, it is expressed that each one can be controlled separately and independently from the saddle through a different engine. Another outstanding feature of the machine is that it enables working with 32 feeders in total together with 16 feeding paths. Besides, the feeders are prevented from showing differences by the rails owing to their Radial structure.

Easy-to-Use with a Touch Screen

The machine which is equiped with fully-functional 3 systems as in all Stoll machines combines 32 feeders in 2 systems and uses the other system for transfer.  Thus, it provides maximum yield. Together with new generation feeders, distance of feeders was reduced and therefore, they can operate efficiently in even very narrow spaces.

With single type feeder of CMS ADF-3, it is possible to manufacture normal, intarsia, vanize, technical textile and medical knits without need to change feeders for specific applications. The machine, furthermore, possesses a system with 32 feeders operated with 64 engine, which is described as a high technology. Besides, the machine is used with already-proven Stoll bearded and reed needle, plate, drawing equipment and Standard HP steel box. It is expressed that CMS ADF-3 will allow more free and artistic works with its high potential in the stage of pattern design.
