The strong manufacturer of circular knitting machines, Mayer& Cie both introduced its technologies at VDMA’s Istanbul and Gaziantep conferences and realized intense B2B meetings. The presentation titled “We get beyond limits- New machine solutions in order to dress 500 football team in a day with a single knitting machine” was presented by Mayer &Cie’s Regional Sales Manager, Torsten Meile and Mayer Mümessillik’s Executive Kahraman Güveri.

Meile informed that Mayer&Cie that was established in 1905 still continues its production in Albstadt, in south Germany and added that the company has 435 employees together with its affiliates.  Meile explained that the company export 98% of its production to over 80 countries and reminded that the company has a turnover of 67 million Euros in 2012 and informed that 67 thousand machines were manufactured up to now. Meile told that there are several companies under the roof of Mayer &Cie Group and listed them as follows; Mayer Industries Inc., Rüster, Mayer Braidtech GmbH, Mayer &Cie. CZ, Mayer do Brasil, Mayer& Cie China, Matex.

Torsten Meile providing information about the world circular knitting market evaluated this Market’s potential with ITMF’s 2011 figures; “The top 5 countries were China and Hong Kong, when considered together, with 212.011 machines, India 1.470 with machines, Bangladesh 1.066 with machines, Turkey with 889 machines and Indonesia  with 658 machines. In 2012, the number of machines ordered from Mayer& Cie is 300. Up to now we have delivered 265 machines.” Meile informing that Mayer& Cie manufactures circular knitting machines in single plate mechanical and double plate mechanical segment underlined that the company has a worldwide service and sales network. “Mayer &Cie continues its activities in around 100 countries with approximately 100 technicians and 80 sales representatives” said Meile and then introduced their technologies developed.

Meile informed thanks to the the ultra high speed series, the Relanit 4.0 UHS achieves incredible 70 revs. in a 30“ machine during the production of plain single jersey fabric with a speed factor of 2100 with its wide angled needle and platin steels. Meile underlining that grease-free and without fly generation is possible with the Relanit technique and highlighted the differences between this technique and the conventional technique; “The Relavit technique has several superiorities. Loop creation with only 4 contact points, less exposure of the yarn to stress, minimum fly generation, and easy access to knitting unit and elements and low electricity consumption are among these superiorities. On a basis of 300 days, with the conventional technique 42.962 km length can be obtained annually while with the relanit technique this distance is 35.251 km. This means 18% less distance.

Torsten Meile also talked about MCS- Mayer Cleaning System and pointed out that this system provides high productivity with easy use, less machine heat, long maintenance period, long needle life, stable fabric quality thanks to stable machine heat and less oil consumption up to 30%. Meile mentioning about Mayer Pendelreiniger’s outstanding aspects informed that the efficient cleaning of shuttles and shuttle trays, reduced fly generation enabling lower defect rate, plain knits and les downtimes are advantages for manufactures. Meile; “We can exemplify the production with Relanit 4.0 30 inch E 25 as; 5.500 t-shirts can be produced in order to meet the needs of 500 football team,” he said and ended his words.
