The world's leading manufacturers of circular knitting machines, Mayer & Cie; combines three important processes spinning, knitting and cleaning in one machine, making an important technology available for the textile industry. Participating in the ITMA Asia + CITME International Textile Machinery fair, to be held from 21 to 25 October 2016 in Shanghai; Mayer & Cie will be realizing the market launch of its new machine, the Spinit 3.0 E, particularly directed towards China and neighbouring countries. Mayer & Cie’s first machine to be equipped with spinit systems technology; the Spinit 3.0.E, also had received a great deal of attention at ITMA in Milan, where it had been presented for the first time.
Mayer & Cie.’s Michael A. Tuschak, in charge of Spinit Systems Marketing and Sales, indicated that the official market launch of the Spinit 3.0 E to be realized at the exhibition would be a milestone for the company. With respect to his assessments on the topic, Mr. Tuschak quoted his wordings as follows; “Following the general sales start of our new technology at the 2015 ITMA in Milan this is the year of its gradual roll-out. China as our most important single market is in any case especially important, but we also see significant potential for the Spinit 3.0 E in neighbouring countries such as South Korea and Taiwan.”
Mentioning that it was always a great advantage to engage with local contacts, Michael A. Tuschak explains as follows; “The fairs are simply ‘closer’ – literally and metaphorically – to many textile manufacturers in the region. Advantages Offered by the New Spinit Systems Technologies
The Spinit 3.0 E is the first machine type to be equipped with Mayer & Cie.’s spinit systems technology. It combines the three process steps spinning, cleaning and knitting, thereby making rewinding superfluous. Within the Spinit 3.0 E technology, via using the so-called false twist spinning process, roving is converted directly into high-quality knitwear. It enables the Spinit to vary the fineness of yarn during the production process and create entirely new patterns that cannot be knitted in any other way.
Along with these self-evident benefits, the Spinit technology also scores points with significant savings in coast and space. Where several machines used to be required, one machine – similar in its dimensions to a conventional knitting machine – is now sufficient. The Spinit 3.0 E also represents a step forward in sustainability in that manufacturing knitwear with it requires much less energy than the conventional production process does.
