Xennia will exhibit the Latest Developments at Inprint

Being the first ceramic ink supplier making production in the industrial inkjet technology with its 20-year experience, Xennia Technology offers high performance, single-pass digital solutions to its clients throughout the world. At Inprint 2014 to be held in Honnover, Germany, on 8-10 April, the latest technologies will be exhibited in the fields of textile, ceramic, laminate, glass and functional industrial printing.

During Inprint 2014, Tim Philips, the Marketing Director of Xennia, will make a presentation in the Conference on Functional and Decorative Industrial Printing to be held concurrently with the organisation. Stating that the future is based on the future, Philips said that they would introduce the new technologies that they developed at InPrint 2014.

Textile Switches to Digital Printing

Stating that the importance of digital printing technologies is now better understood, Philips added that: “Textile and clothing world passes to digital printing rapidly. Thanks to this model, fashion designers and other manufacturers in the sector will have the opportunity of making prints which were not possible with the previous digital printing machines on fabrics of different qualities with bright and vivid colours at low quantities. This opportunity will be valid for cotton, silk, artificial silky fabric and all the other popular fabrics used in the fashion world. Our sensitivity and commitment to the environment become evident once more with these machines which consume less dye and water and produce less waste material.”

“As it is known, digital textile printing has recently become the most widely discussed topic of the textile sector. The manufacturers have such questions on their minds as “Does the future lie at the digital textile printing?, Can this system put an end to the conventional printing?, Is it easy to apply?, What kinds of limitations or difficulties does it have? Or Should the digital textile printing be invested on?” said Philips and added that: “I firstly want to say that the digital textile printing is a delicate issue  and industrial success relies on many prerequisites. It is also important that the dyestuff is approved by the head manufacturer. This means that the head manufacturer uses that dyestuff on the head that it manufactured and then approved its use. All the responsibility related to the dyestuff except for the ones approved by the head manufacturer should be given to the consumer by the dyestuff manufacturer in written. Meanwhile, it is a reality that the dyestuff produced with the digital printing systems led to great problems when they were first introduced. At that time, those using the machines became the test areas of the dyestuff manufacturers. Although this was a bad situation for them, these experiences led to an increase in the quality of the dyestuff and decreased the problems. Now, the problems caused by the approved dyestuff decreased significantly and dyestuff manufacturers assume the necessary responsibilities in order to get a good position in the market.”

Philips stated that they would explain the latest developments in the field of digital printing at their stands at Inprint 2014 and expressed that Xenlnx Zircon series digital ceramic printing inks were officially approved for use in all models of the Xaar 1001 recirculation printing heads produced by Xaar, one of the main manufacturers of printing heads with recirculation. Digital inks of Xennia have been used in the key markets of the ceramic tile production. Xenlnx Zircon inks provide high quality colour-intense prints in both wall and floor tiles.

It is used in the whole world

About the approval, sales director of Xennia, Dave Varty said that: “This approval explanation confirms the performance and strength that Xenlnx Zircon ceramic inks in the field”. He continued by saying: “Xennia ink jet module and ink technology are used in more than 500 digital ceramic solutions in the production lines throughout the world. We will do our best in increasing our level of success.”

An executive from Xaar Ink, Duncan Gellatly said that: “Xennia is one of the most important digital ink suppliers of the world for ceramic tile industry. We, as Xaar, are proud of approving Xenlnx Zircon inks officially. Zircon inks display perfect performance in the Xaar 1001 printer heads under challenging test conditions”.
