Sever Apparel bought the third stenter from Monforts to meet its increasing production demand. Located in Uşak which is one of the textile bases of Turkey, Sever Apparel particularly provides finishing solutions required by the home textile and women’s wear fabric manufacturers. The firm has the capacity of applying all processes of bleaching, coloring and finishing in order to make the raw materials produced in the most important weaving centers of the Egean region ready to sale and guarantees its quality with stenter machines supplied from Monforts.
Established by Fahri Sever in 1967, Sever Apparel took its place in the sector with the establishment of SEVER textile factory in the Region of Cotton Weavers. The firm currently operates in the sector as a family business in its modern plant found on Uşak-Denizli road. Expanding its product range with the growth of the company in 1988, Sever Apparel also continues operating in home textile production with an integrated structure. Making assessments about the purchase from Monforts, an executive of the firm, Mehmet Sever expresses that companies should increase their investments in finishing in order to make a quality production in all product groups. Sever emphasizes that such a growth will be faster. Reminding that they also purchased the first stenter from Monforts in 1998, he adds that they continue making a quality production with successful technologies.
Mehmet Sever also reminds that the raw material gains the desired color and pattern in the dyeing printing stage following the bleaching process while chemical and mechanical processes are applied on the fabric during finishing. Sever also adds: “The actual objective, here, is to adjust and develop retention feature and apperance of the fabric and provide that fabric with such new properties as water repellency, waterproofing and mothproofing if possible. Besides, the fabric can also be made easy to cut and sew in the apparel sector in this process.”.
Properties of the Machine Were Renewed Significantly
Working with the slogan of “Success is Our Spirit”, Sever Apparel also increased its growth pace in parallel to the technological change in the firm. Adding seersucker and sateen into its product range, the firm shapes its prospective investments with its slogan “For the Future”. The firm also stands out with its production rate which has been increasing since the purchase of the first Montex stenter. The production amount which was 30.000 square meters at the beginning reached up to 90.000 square meters. The firm which makes most of its production for domestic market also intends to strengthen its exporting.
With the recently added features of Montex stenter manufactured by Monforts, it now has a nominal working width of 280 cm, eight compartments and an operating speed of 5 – 100 m/min. The oil-heated stenter also features Monforts integrated heat recovery system and a Montex padder. Owing to a feature combined with the produced technology, it is now easier to treat poliester and cotton fabrics.
