Redman Put an End to the Imports with its Raising Wires

Raising wires, the spare parts used imported within the textile sector and used in the fabric finishing processes, have been started to be produced in Turkey by Redman Tekstil Telleri A.Ş. Dörtaral Textile, which acquired the 80 year old company Redman Card Clothing CO in 2005 and decided to continue its operations on an area of 2,400 sqm in Beylikdüzü. With the raising wires it manufactures, the company that has made a name for itself in textile production with its 40 years of commercial tradition, meets the domestic needs and performs exports. USA, Australia, Bangladesh, China, South Africa, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, England, Iran, Italy, Canada, Egypt, Poland, Portugal are the export markets of the company, which exports 70 percent of its production.

With the production it performs using the Know-How it acquired from its American partners, Redman Tekstil Telleri, responds the needs of large companies. The company takes important steps towards preventing the loss of foreign exchange by working with Menderes Textile, Universal Textile, Zorlu Textile, Sesli Textile, Oğuz Textile and Lafer-HAS Group, which have large raising machinery parks.

The Company will Participate in ITM as Dörtaral and Redman Tekstil

K. Cemal Aral, General Manager of Redman Tekstil Telleri, made statements about the issue and said that a great price advantage is created for the customers as the raisinng machines, which had been imported to the country for many years, are now produced in our country. Aral stated that by this way exorbitant prices are avoided. “Due to the brand obsessions of some users, there had been times when our own raising wires were imported from Italy as Italian brands. We’re struggling to put an end to the habit of importing ongoing for many years. Our most important goal is to incentivize the peope to use home prodcuts,” said Aral.

Aral stated that since raising wires are needed in the finishing processes of all kinds of fabrics, every fabric mill has raising machines and therefore raising wire has been a very important import item for many years. Aral reminded that in the previous years, Turkey didn’t engaged in the production of raising wires and they imported the product from the American Redman to sale it to the Turkish manufacturers. Aral underlined that although the plants of the American based Redman CO. Inc that were located in Holland and the USA had been planned to be moved to China, they - with their own efforts - moved them, to Beylikdüzü, İstanbul. Aral stated that 48 machines in the USA and Holland plants were dismantled and installed in the plant in İstanbul. Aral said that now they are happy to perform exports to these countries.

Aral stated that the people should be incentivized to use the home products and they should give up their obsessions. Aral reminded that the companies, which they’ve been supplying raising wires to, provide great support and show interest to them. Emhasizing his entrepreneurial spirit, Aral stated that during 1940s, he and his brother started to import textile machinery spare parts in İstanbul and acquired distributorships. Aral said that when he graduated from the university, he went into business. He had been engaged in the importation of cards and card wires, which are important spare parts for the spinning mills. Aral stated that he contemplated on manufacturing these wires, which cost dearly, however now he has a chip on his shoulder about the issue.

In the statement he made, Kemal Bahadır, Technical Manager of the plant in Beylikdüzü, stated that in order to increase quality, they always conduct researches and are engaged in mutual exchange information with the England based Joseph Sellers. Bahadır also stated that as Dörtaral and Redman Tekstil, they will take place at Hall 10, Booth 1008/A in ITM Texpo Eurasia 2012 the Textile Machinery and Accessories Fair, that will be held on April 21-24, 2012, at Tüyap.
