Metsa Makine which stepped into the sector by manufacturing of Metal components, turned into a dye-finishing machinery manufacturer brand at present. The firm which was established in a small-scale structure as Metsa Metal 2002, has grown both its structure and the share in the sector in a short time with the demand from the sector. Metsa, which perform the manufacturing of dyeing and finishing machinery at their facility with their engineers and technicians, started to work with Yamuna Makine from Indian for finishing machinery from the beginning of 2011.Company's latest project is to manufacture stenter machine with their Indian partner. We conducted an interview with Metsa Makine Manager Ersel Çoban with respect to foundation of the firm which have ICR, ANAB Accredited, ISO: 9001:2000 quality certificates, works of the firm and their market oriented objectives.
Ersel Çoban who reminded that the firm, which started to operate in 2002 as Metsa Metal, especially focused on steeliness material sales activities and added that the firm had been reconstituted in 2004. Ersel Çoban said; ”The firm had renovated itself including the machinery manufacturing activities in 2004 as a Metsa Metal ve Makine Sanayi. Metsa started to make instalment-revision in factory assemblies with the demands from the companies in the sector it operates. Then, under the leadership of the firms where the job is carried, Metsa dealt with the textile dyeing and finishing in the new machinery and apparatus and began to manufacture small-scale machinery, apparatus. Later on, with the demands of these companies, we have found ourselves in a textile machinery manufacturer position”. Mr. Çoban, who stated that the production range of Metsa included machinery like dyeing machinery, padding squeezer rope willow machine, humidification, enzyme washing, cutting edge, coil packaging machine, also emphasized that special works are carried with the customer demand and new products are being developed
Accelerated the Studies for Stenter Manufacturing
Mr. Çoban who made significant assessments about their corporation being with the Yamuna added “The main reason of our partnership with the Indian firm is to have machinery manufacturing. We are working together especially in the manufacturing of stenter. We aim to take the results of this study in 2014". Mr. Çoban, who said they want to reach significant achievements into this areas differently from the companies manufacture in Turkey continued his speech as; "Yamuna has wide knowledge especially about ram. We focused on uniting their experience and our strength in the market by getting into a partnership with this company. We want to get succeed by using the sense of trust we caught in the market also in the sales of stenter. I believe we will succeed the manufacturing of stenter, which requires a bit more organized work rather than the dyeing machine, with our quality infrastructure ". Mr. Çoban who reminded that they reached the targets quickly which they set during the dyeing machine investment also expressed they will continue to progress in the same way during the stenter manufacturing.
Instead of Quality Service, Smooth Product is More Important
Mr. Çoban who underlined that after the sales of machinery, they meet all type of demands of the customers, and added that their main objective is to fulfilment of the expectations with the sales of unproblematic machinery". Mr. Çoban expressed; ".We are not having any problem about the service. However, if we are requested an after-sales service, we consider ourselves unsuccessful since our main objective is to manufacture accurate, long-lasting machinery". Mr. Çoban who stated they will continue with the same work ethic during the stenter machine added: "Our basic principle is not to have any demand other than visit from our client after selling the products".
Competitors Attitude, Important for Production Policy
Mr. Çoban, who stated they closely followed all the developments in developing technology as a company, said; “Which products are being demanded in the global area? What are the characteristics of required machines, and such issues gives the clues of the production method". Mr. Çoban who mentioned they are professionals about this point made the following phrases:”
We are trying to develop products that bring the savings forward especially in the last period. Serious expectations about reducing the water, electricity and steam occurred worldwide. By closely following the results which this awareness brought, we are giving right responses to the demands. I hope we will continue to organize entire process in the same way. We will increase our export item which is 10% of our manufacturing".
Mr. Çoban, who supports the idea that taking right decisions only during the manufacturing process is not enough for a manufacturer to be successful, also pointed out that products should be strengthen in the market with right sales strategies and promotions. Mr. Çoban, who explained that they are strict followers of both global and local fairs in this sense, ended his words as; “We will introduce our products by taking place in the ITM exhibition. However, I think fair participants will be there for visit rather than being a purchaser. Especially the crisis in the Middle East implies this situation. Therefore, we focused on advertising more intended for local buyers. Besides, our works will in global context. We expect a lot from the Uzbekistan. Our progresses in Russia, India and Bangladesh continue. I believe that we will be also successful in these areas. "
