Discussions related to the environmental impacts of industrial production were on the agenda of the world especially in the 1990s. With the increase in the activity of environmental organizations and the general public awareness to this issue, both governments and industry associations started taking steps in this direction in this period. In 1997, Kyoto Protocol was opened for signature to reduce greenhouse gas emissions progressively. In this context, with the United Nations Climate Change Conference, gas emissions in developing and developed countries are aimed to be brought under control. The decisions that allow the countries to enter into obligation were rejected by some countries. Brückner, manufacturer of textile finishing technologies, working for prevention of harmful gases released into the atmosphere, is aiming to bring into use the new technologies by introducing new technologies in India. Supported by German manufacturers, Brückner was chosen as the exclusive partner of the project in the field of distribution and marketing of heat recovery technology.
Brückner, with a history of over 60 years in the sector, started road show “ECO Tour India” in September 2012. The purpose of the company with this study is to show the energy-saving potential of Indian manufacturers and reduce CO2 emissions in textile mills as well. For this purpose, Brückner is planning to build mobile heat recovery unit for Indian textile finishing manufacturers. The company was first introduced in Ahmedabad. The company opens business areas for the experts in the region to support this work, therefore customers does not have difficulty in the system. At the same time, the support team in the region has the power to measure and document large potentials of energy savings and the efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
According to the explanations of Brückner coming forward with technical textile finishing technologies among the German machine manufacturers, after a testing phase of 3 to 4 weeks the test unit will be installed at the next customer’s works. Brückner is to continue this work until the end of 2013. In accordance with the company plans, while the special shows continue throughout the coming year, manufacturers will be informed on this issue. It is indicated that many Indian manufacturers would like to take advantage of this application and the interest in the technology is not only for finishing lines, but also for all production areas.
