Dilmenler Makine, which has been operating in the textile sector for 35 years, continues its activities for the design and production of machines that meet the changing sector needs in the textile finishing sector. Answering the questions of our magazine group about important technologies and R&D activities they offer to plants, Yüksel Topgül, Plant Manager of DMS Dilmenler Makine ve Tekstil San A.Ş, shared important information.
Factory Manager Yüksel Topgül stated that they offer production lines with coating-stenter-calender units; zebra curtain fabric production lines, production lines for PVC coated products and production lines enabling the application of special processes used in the automotive sector as well as the standard stenters used in the application of thermofixing and final processes to the knitted and woven (outer wear, shirt fabric, home textile, denim) fabrics to the sector. Topgül continued explaining their product range as follows, "In addition to pressurization steamers, continuous scrubbing, continuous scouring and continuous mercerizing machines, we introduce eco-friendly caustic recovery systems that allow the use of mercerized processes in recycled and reused processes. In order to recover the energies contained in the exhaust gases from the stenter, we carry out the integration and application of air-air and air-water heat recovery systems as well as the filtration systems applied in the sector to our machines in order to eliminate the effects of the gases to the environment.”
Dilmenler Makine carries out innovations in textile finishing and dyeing processes together with strong R&D team. Answering our questions about Dilmenler Makine's works in this area, which become the 312th R&D centre in Turkey in 2016, Yüksel Topgül gave the following explanations, “We have increased our employment of R&D personnel with the qualified workforce consisting of researchers and technicians working full time and having ability to research, develop and design in our R D centre. We establish and strengthen this culture in our company. We produce technological knowledge through university and industry cooperation, and we make innovations in our products and production processes. We upgrade our product quality and standards, and continue our intensive efforts in order to commercialize our technological knowledge.”
Adding that the one of the most important effects of being a company preferred by customers is their R&D works, Topgül stated that, "In addition to the increase in sales and turnover, the contribution of R&D works is pleasing for us.”
Production and R&D in Megam Dyeing Plant
As a company that develops innovative technologies for dyeing plants, Dilmenler Makine, which also has Megam Dyeing Plant under its umbrella, can have first-hand feedback on the technologies it develops. Mr. Topgül said, "We see the great benefit of Megam Dyeing plant in getting our project's field feedbacks quickly" and added that, "Our ecologic and environmental-friendly products, which offer high quality and versatility and increase competitive power of our clients, also increase our competitive capacity at home and abroad."
Adding that they not only direct R&D works but also analyze new technologies with Megam Dyeing Plant, Mr. Topgül continued his speech as follows: "Dilmenler Makine, which has been in the textile sector for 35 years, designs and produces machines which meet the changing sector needs in the field of textile finishing. Our company has built the substructure of designs on the basis of low energy consumption, long life, maximum ecological balance, user-friendly, world-class machine development. Megam Dyeing Plant, one of the milestones of this process, serves both as a real-time R&D facility and as a manufacturing enterprise for the textile sector. Megam Tekstil and its expert staff, which continue their work in proactive mentality, analyse the developed technologies in different ways and adapts these developments to the dyeing system. In this way, all the parameters are controlled by various automation systems and the contribution of new technologies to a functioning system is revealed. It offers real-time monitoring of long-life technologies offering low energy consumption, ecological, user friendly, compatible with various automation systems.”
Dilmenler Makine Completed Its Annual Targets
Mr. Topgül, who answered our questions about Dilmenler Makine's sales in 2016 and 2017 expectations, said that they achieved a significant growth. Mr. Topgül stated that "We have increased our sales in 2016 by 18% in turnover compared to the previous year with 65% in export and 35% in domestic market", and added that they have met the expectations of 2016 by achieving significant growth with a significant increase in turnover compared to previous years. Topgül coninued his speech as follows: “Considering the number of machines manufactured, turnover and the ability of explaining the value added by Megam dyeing plant to Dilmenler, it seems that Dilmenler Makine fulfilled its annual targets. We, as a company, see that we have achieved expected figures in terms of the turnover and the number of machines produced for the textile sector. This situation is somehow related to Dilmenler Makine and as a matter of fact, it is a system and structure growing like a snowball. As long as the numbers of the machines increase and the machines are sold, as well as the customers give accurate references to each other about the projects, the interest and appreciation increase. As long as the interest grows, we need to develop new structures and new systems to meet this. The more we can realize these correctly, the more our turnover and machine sales increase.”
Mostly New Products Will Be Promoted and Marketed
Also sharing information about 2017 targets said "2017 will be a year in which a new marketing strategy will be implemented to promote the products, which are newly developed and could not reach an adequate number of clients, in the countries where strong sales organizations exist, there is no problem with the marketing of existing products and these machines and systems are accepted in the process. In this context, promotion and sales of new products such as coating technology and related equipment, continuous washing/bleaching machine and related technologies as well as mercerization and caustic recovery will be the focus in these markets.”
Topgül stated that they will focus on customer visits with fairs and promotion works in line with these targets determined in 2017 and added that in the countries and regions where there is not an adequately strong sales network and the customer portfolio and diversity are not sufficient, it will pay particular attention to the marketing of the machines and systems they are strong at first. Dilmenler Makine will strengthen this organization formed in 2017 and present the entire machine portfolio to the customers in the direction of market needs.
