Highlighting 'green innovation' in textile finishing technologies, FONG'S sold Saffron Philippines Inc., which is in the Philippines, 8 sets FONG'S TEC Series within 8 Months. The 4th shipment is to be taken before the end of 2012. In the sector for over 18 years, Saffron is a top tier manufacturer in dyeing and finishing, printing and garment production with 438 employees. The company provides supply for brands such as Abercrombie, Ralph Lauren, Walmart, Jockey and Hanes.
With a daily capacity of 40-45 tons of dyeing and finishing, Saffron has a capacity to perform 10,000 pcs of garment production and 10,000 yards (9144 m) of printing. Continuing its investments for the future growth and to make more ecological production, the company aims to increase daily capacity. Saffron Chairman of the Board of Directors, Tomas de los Santos said that they worked with the principle 'making the impossible possible' and he added: “We are aimed to be valued as a dynamic leader in fabric dyeing, finishing, printing and garment production for our excellence, innovation, diversity and relevance as we contribute to the textile industry and to the community as well, of which we are part of.”
Santos reminded that their company was satisfied with the performance of FONG'S JUMBOFLOW machine which they had been using for a few years before the TEC series was launched during ITMA Barcelona on September 2011. Pointing out that the design of TEC series was similar to JUMBOFLOW but FONG'S upgraded some new features and improvements on it, Santos continued as follows: “we ordered the 1st shipment of JUMBOTEC2-1T (300kg), MIDITEC2-3T (750kg), and MINITEC2-2T (400kg) on November 2011 in such short promotion period. The Liquor Ratio (LR) of the TEC series is further reduced and the LR is getting closer with airflow machine. TEC series have a wide range of machine capacity which gives more flexibility in attaining higher loading efficiency. Furthermore, FONG'S has always provided us with the necessary technical support and their after sales service team provides fast and reliable assistance.”
Trials Demonstrate Success
Mr. Mensen Chu, Saffron’s Plant Manager explained that after the 1st unit was installed, they did many trials of different kinds of fabric and as a result, they had lower liquor ratio, faster salt preparation and injection time with TEC series. Stating that user friendly controller, efficient and consistent rinsing process, reduction of effluent, reduction of energy cost also met their expectations, he said: “The series are positioned close to the ground, eliminating the need for going up; therefore the machine can be reached easier and machine operations are more successful” That’s why we have placed more orders of TEC series dyeing machine for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th orders in such short period.
Mr. Kennan Lao, Saffron’s General Manager said that the worldwide textile industry will see a significant growth for the year 2013 if more positive results are received in the U.S. and European markets; and he underlined that textile related production shifted to emerging markets like India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Lao finished by saying: “Positive signals from these countries in the textile production give a positive foresight for the entire textile industry. Fresh water resource is not unlimited in our country. It is our social responsibility and commitment to our society. Therefore, we did not hesitate to choose FONG'S TEC series for our commitment to greener production.”
