Fong’s Europe, the textile finishing technologies manufacturer, was one of the leading companies making a presentation at VDMA’s Conferences organized in Istanbul and Gaziantep. The company’s Regional Sales Manager of Fong’s, Richard Fander told their studies to the Turkish manufacturers with his presentation titled “Sustainability in Washing, Pretreatment and Dyeing Processes”. Fander expressed that right investment decision should be taken due to the competition in machinery production and the decrease of quality nowadays and underlined the companies were forced to take right decisions.
Fander stating that wrong investments will urge to re-invest within the next 5 years; “If manufacturers are not careful about investment issue, they will be troubled with severe cost problem,” he said. Fander pointing out that water costs will be the focus point in future investments continued as follows; “As per the researches conducted nowadays, the water need in Africa and some desert regions is increasing. This rate will influence Turkey and the whole European Region by 2025. Consequently water costs will be the issue to be mostly considered in the forthcoming years”.
Technology is followed by R&D Studies
Richard Fander informed about their own trademarks special studies within this frame to the Turkish manufacturers after completing his statements about possible negative aspects which can be experienced in the global field. Fander giving informing that they have reached important results about low energy and water consumption amounts with R&D Studies added that they are closely following changing demands in textile finishing industry. Fander expressing that they have reduced the water consumption with Synergy Airflow machine being a product of THEN continued as follows; “Thanks to Airflow technology, we save 50% of water, steam and chemicals. In the forthcoming days this technology will be developed further. In that sense, we will preserve both our world’s resources and increase companies savings rates.”
Low Liquor Ratio from Airflow Synergy
Richard Fander providing technical information about THEN’s Synergy technology informed that they have realized important studies on Air Flow Dyeing Machine Series, which they truly trust as a company. Fander drew attention especially to Syn500G2’s low liquor ratio and continued; “A liquor ratio of 1.:3.5 for cotton and 1:2.5 for polyester is the case. With a wide application spectrum, great economic benefits are provided to textile mills. On the other hand, it has features to eliminate worries about environmental pollution”.
THEN-Air Flow stepping forward with several cost advantages plans to reach each dyeing house with its latest version The Synergy 500G2, thanks to its feature to provide perfect high temperature and its compatibility for all kinds of fibers except pure wool. The Synergy, which is patented with AIRFLOW Technology and its lowest liquor ratio in the market increasing machine productivity, can also meet ecologic demands properly. The product also guarantees 25% savings during the process thanks to its self-cleaning new filter and other extra features. After the investment to be made, Fander informs that the payback can be provided within 1 year in case 3 shifts working is planned and explained that they can realize common studies with company managers in that sense.
Environmental-Friendly Concept with TEC Series
Richard Fander talking about Fong’s new TEC Series high temperature dyeing machine informed that the company is constantly developing innovations in this field. Fander; “This series is developed especially for fabrics with compact and sensitive structures. We realized production in different capacities: 200kg, 250kg and 300kg. Each of them corresponds to different fabric weight, electric and water consumption need. The series meets the demands of lower cost, high quality and green environment concept of customers and reduces emission,” he said.
TEC Series High Temperature Dyeing Machine has new generation designs. The machine, which can realize different and diversified dyeing processes such as natural and synthetic fibers and blended products, is specially designed for tight, crease-free and sensitive fabrics. Cotton reactive dyeing process takes approximately 248 minutes with several new functions. Water consumption at the environmental friendly machine is described as 27.5, 37.8 and 47.7 L/kg, respectively for clear, medium and dark colors.
