Developing technologies for the finishing process of the technical textiles, Monforts continues developing new applications for EcoApplicator that it manufactured on the basis of the technological solutions increasing the energy efficiency of the textile businessmen. Monforts offers an economic alternative with EcoApplicator in order to apply functional finishing chemical to the products, make various treatments and add a wide range of products sensitively.

While flexibility and sensitivity have become possible with the new technology developed by Monforts, textile manufacturers are able to treat both sides of the material at the same time if needed at any phase of the production owing to EcoApplicator.

Successful Results

Yielding successful results in the field of denim, EcoApplicator is positioned in front of the stenter and runs in a combined manner with traditional padding mangle. It can be applied with such chemicals as functional softener and fluorocarbon in order to ensure pigment resistance in some single-sided applications and water and oil resistance in the other applications.

EcoApplicator which can also be used in front of the Monfortex drawing frame minimises settling problems by enabling the application of low viscosity ratios. In this way, EcoApplicator prevents the formation of tubes and pipes obstructed due to insufficient cleansing; increases the production yield. In the production of pile fabrics with EcoApplicator, it can be at low amounts to eliminate the drying phase with extra flotte treatment and therefore, energy is saved in the subsequent phases.

50 % Energy Saving

As EcoApplicator can be used in the antimicrobial products instead of traditional padding mangle, it ensures 50 % energy saving in the drying processes and thus, the amount of production is doubled. Besides, it becomes possible to handle the processes related to the fire-proof technical textile products in a cost-effective manner.

For EcoApplicator in which both treatments can be applied at diverse variants, Peter Tolksdorf from Monforts said that: “A single material may have a hydrophobic water repellent surface on one side and a hydrophilic moisture absorbent surface on the other side. In this way, different front-back combinations become possible. Nowadays, these types of combinations are widely preferred in the sportswear. Thus, lamination can be applied to other materials such as technical textiles and performance films used in the sportswear with EcoApplicator that we developed.”

Expressing that coating the produced textile material with fluorocarbon makes application more difficult, Tolksdorf added that: “If it becomes possible to treat only one side of the material, the subsequent lamination becomes more effective. Alternately, the materials that have been already laminated can be re-treated in case of need”.
