Bayer MaterialScience which manufactures the chemical that the textile sector needs will continue for its activities with the name Covestro by the beginning of September. Covestro which will be in an independence status from Bayer, will focus on the manufacturing of polyurethane and polycarbonate substances which is used at technical textile especially at home textile. Besides, while Patrick Thomas is assigned for the CEO of the firm which will direct to special chemicals for lamination used at textile sector, the other members of the board include Frank H Lutz, Dr. Klaus Scheafer and Markus Stellmann.
The CEO of Covestro Patrick Thomas, by saying that they targeted the company to open to the stock market in the middle of 2018, said ‘’Independence will enable us to hold on to the global market faster, more effective and more flexible’’. Thomas who told that they set off with the motto of making world lighter, also added ‘’We are planning to grow via the technologies and the products which gains favor for society and reduces the environmental effects’’. Thomas who stated that they would direct to automotive, construction and electronic sectors as well as textile sector said that among their priority targets, there was a sustainable production.
